Roger Hewlett (born May 2, 1958; age 62) played Port Officer Reed during a deleted scene of Season 5 of 24.

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Roger Hewlett was born in Joliet, Illinois. He graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy in 1976, and then studied at the University of Missouri until 1981. Hewlett started his professional acting career in 1988, when he appeared on the film Splash Too. After that, he appeared in films like Road House, Diggstpwm, Leprechaun 3, Changeling (with Colm Feore), They Crawl, and Earth to Echo.

Aside of films, Hewlett has appeared in TV shows like Small Wonder, Qunatum Leap, China Beach (with Jeff Kober and Ned Vaughn), Raven, Babylon 5, The X-Files, and CSI: Miami.

Role on 24[edit | edit source]

Hewlett was cast in the role of Reed, a US Customs and Border officer, during Season 5 of 24. Although his name is not mentioned, it is visible on his uniform name tag. However, Hewlett's scenes were deleted due to time constraints and are only available on the 24: Season 5 DVD boxset.
