Roman Mitichyan (born September 4, 1978; age 46) is a stunt performer and actor who had several roles on 24.

Biography and career[]

Roman Mitichyan was born in Vanadzor, Armenia. He started training in freestyle wrestling when he was 8 years old. Mitichyan eventually moved on to Sambo-Judo and became a champion in Armenia.

In 1997, Mitichyan and his family moved to the United States and he started training at the Hayastan Judo Club with Gene LeBell and Gokor Chivichyan. He is a world bronze medalist in Sambo, and an active MMA fighter. In 2006, Mitichyan won first place in the USJI National Championship.

Mitichyan is also an experienced boxer and stunt performer, and has appeared in TV shows like Threat Matrix (with Mark Ivanir and Anthony Azizi), Without a Trace (with John Allen Nelson), The Shield (with Benito Martinez and Ludwig Manukian), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette and Mark Rolston), Revolution (with Billy Burke and Steven Culp), and Hawaii Five-0 (with Daniel Dae Kim).

Aside from TV shows, Mitichyan has also worked on films like Furious 7 (with Noel Gugliemi), John Wick, Argo (with Tate Donovan, Rory Cochrane, and Željko Ivanek), Warrior (with Maximiliano Hernandez), and Takers (with Gideon Emery).
