Sacha Dhawan (born May 1, 1984; age 39) played Naveed Shabazz in 24: Live Another Day.

Biography and career[]

Dhawan was born in Bramhall, Greater Manchester, in England. His parents were Hindu, but he attended a Roman Catholic secondary school near Stockport. Dhawan began acting at the age of 12 and attended the Laine-Johnson School of Acting in Manchester.

In 1998, Dhawan appeared in an episode of City Central. He followed that with recurring roles in the shows Out of Sight, Weirdsister College, and the mini-series The Last Train. From 2010 to 2011, Dhawan starred as Manmeet in NBC's Outsourced, where his character worked for Rizwan Manji's. Other actors in the series include Ajay Mehta and K.T. Thangavelu.

In 2013, Dhawan co-starred with Will Smith in After Earth, also starring Glenn Morshower and Diego Klattenhoff. Dhawan also played the first director of Doctor Who, Waris Hussein, in the docudrama An Adventure In Space and Time.
