Sammy Sheik (born November 15, 1981; age 38) played Masheer Abu-Marzuq during Season 6 of 24. He also portrayed the terrorist Jamal bin Muhammed during Coffee Run, the first day of The Rookie.

Sheik has appeared on Howard Gordon's three other shows Homeland, Tyrant and Legends.

Biography and career Edit

Sammy Sheik was born in Alexandria, Egypt. He left home shortly after high school, and moved to New York to study theater. His first film role was in Albert Brooks' satire Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World. After that, he has appeared in films like Charlie Wilson's War (with Navid Negahban and Nancy Linehan Charles), Attack on Darfur (with Hakeem Kae-Kazim), and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (with Glenn Morshower).

Sheik has also appeared in shows like NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert, Max Martini, and Kavita Patil), and Nikita (with Xander Berkeley and Omid Abtahi). He has also appeared in shows like Homeland, Tyrant, and Legends; all of which were produced and written by Howard Gordon.

He appeared in antagonistic roles for the war films Lone Survivor and American Sniper (with Leonard Roberts, Tim Griffin, Navid Negahban, Fahim Fazli, Assaf Cohen, Mido Hamada and Reynaldo Gallegos).
