Santa Clarita Power Plant

The Santa Clarita Power Plant was a power plant, located at 417 Ridgeway Road in Santa Clarita, California.

Senator David Palmer held a breakfast rally at the power plant on the morning of primary day. Los Angeles Mayor Nelson and the top labor leaders in California were in attendance. Palmer's agenda included coming out with the truth about his son Keith's involvement in the accidental death of Lyle Gibson. The assassin Jonathan Matijevich attempted to shoot Palmer during his speech. Jack Bauer, who was being forced by Ira Gaines to take the fall for the assassination, went for the gun of Secret Service agent Alan Hayes before Jonathan could pull the trigger. The distraction resulted in Palmer being evacuated safely from the building and Jack being arrested. Jack was questioned by Agent Frank Simes before managing to escape custody and flee. Background information and notes

• The plant is consistently called "San Clarita" during the first season, however The House Special Subcommittee's Findings at CTU correctly calls it "Santa Clarita."
• The Santa Clarita Power Plant was filmed at AES Redondo Beach, also used as the interiors of the reserve power station where Jason Girard hides in Season 4, the Wilshire Gas Company building in Season 5, and as the Stanswick Power Plant and the interiors of the Boyd Chemical Plant in Season 7.
