The Santa Monica Pier was a recreational pier on the city's waterfront. During Day 6, Dmitri Gredenko agreed to lure Abu Fayed to the pier in exchange for immunity, wearing a tracking device implanted in his arm. At the pier, however, Gredenko double-crossed CTU, telling Fayed to chop off his arm so they could escape from the authorities. Fayed and Gredenko made it to a bar near the pier, where Gredenko shouted to the patrons that Fayed was responsible for the terror attacks of the day. While Fayed was beaten, Gredenko escaped, eventually expiring beneath the pier due to blood loss. Jack Bauer and Mike Doyle arrived and took Fayed into custody, interrogating him before leaving to take him back to CTU Los Angeles. ("Day 6: 9:00pm-10:00pm", "10:00pm-11:00pm")
