Scott Evans was an Omicron Corporation pilot who Christopher Henderson entrusted with the recorded evidence that implicated President Charles Logan in Day 5's events. In order to escape the United States with the recording, Evans forcefully replaced the original co-pilot of Flight 520.

However, Jack Bauer and Chloe O'Brian eventually discovered that Evans was the carrier of the recording. After hijacking the plane, Bauer forced Evans to surrender the recording and fly the plane away from the mainland.

Minutes later, Logan orders the destruction of the plane. Under orders from Jack, Evans handcuffs himself to the controls and successfully lands the plane on a nearby freeway, preventing Logan's orders from following through. Jack leaves the plane, and Evans remains cuffed to the controls, waiting to be apprehended by CTU.
