Biography and career[]

Scott Lawrence was born in Los Angeles, California. His parents were both heavily involved in civil rights movements, which prompted Lawrence to be involved as well since his youth. Lawrence was also a regular in the show JAG from 2001 to 2005, playing the role of Commander Sturgis Turner.

Lawrence has also appeared in films like TimeCop (with Callum Keith Rennie), Turbulence, and Cloverfield. He also had a role in the blockbuster film Avatar, and the critically acclaimed The Social Network. In the summer of 2013, he appeared with Peter Weller, Sala Baker, Nazneen Contractor, and Zachary Quinto in the blockbuster Star Trek Into Darkness.

In addition to background and guest roles in various theatrical blockbusters and popular television shows, Lawrence also has an accomplished voice-over career, including being the voice of Darth Vader in recent Star Wars videogames (including Rogue Squadron III with Timothy Omundson).
