Scott Lawrence (born September 27, 1963; age 57) portrayed Ben Landry during Season 7 and Season 8 of 24.

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Scott Lawrence was born in Los Angeles, California. His parents were both heavily involved in civil rights movements, which prompted Lawrence to be involved as well since his youth. After studying electrical engineering for two years at the University of Southern California where his father worked, Lawrence decided to study acting instead, completing a Fine Arts conservatory program in 1986.

Through his career, Lawrence has appeared in shows like LA Law (with Carmen Argenziano), Red Shoe Diaries (with Arnold Vosloo), Star Trek: Voyager (with Jonathan Del Arco), NYPD Blue (with Ricky Schroder), The West Wing (with Devika Parikh), ER (with Leland Orser), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), and Law & Order: LA (with Currie Graham and Tamlyn Tomita). Lawrence was also a regular in the show JAG from 2001 to 2005, playing the role of Commander Sturgis Turner.

Lawrence has also appeared in films like TimeCop (with Callum Keith Rennie), Turbulence, and Cloverfield. He also had a role in the blockbuster film Avatar, and the critically acclaimed The Social Network. In the summer of 2013, he appeared with Peter Weller, Sala Baker, Nazneen Contractor, and Zachary Quinto in the blockbuster Star Trek Into Darkness.

In addition to background and guest roles in various theatrical blockbusters and popular television shows, Lawrence also has an accomplished voice-over career, including being the voice of Darth Vader in recent Star Wars videogames (including Rogue Squadron III with Timothy Omundson).
