Robert Scott Paulin (born February 13, 1950; age 74) played Brian Jacobs during Season 2 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Scott Paulin was born in Steubenville, Ohio. He majored in Government at Pomona College, in Claremont, California, graduating in 1971. However, he chose to pursue an acting career instead, starting his career in the late 70's.

Paulin has appeared in numerous films and TV shows. He has also acted in many productions of infamous director Albert Pyun including the ill-received 1990 Captain America (with Paulin playing the villain against protagonist Matt Salinger).

Paulin also starred in the series Line of Fire with Brian Goodman and Leslie Hope. Since 2009, he has had a recurring role on Castle as the father of Stana Katic's character.

Paulin has also been a director for various cult TV shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Mortal Kombat: Conquest, Early Edition and Sheena. He also directed the 1998 indie action thriller Shelter (both this and the latter show co-starred John Allen Nelson).
