Sean Smith (born October 5, 1967; age 52) played Sam Tyler during Season 3 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Sean Smith was born in Palo Alto, California. He began performing on stage at the age of 7, and continued developing his interest in acting. Smith attended San Jose State University on an Opera scholarship.

Smith's first credited role was in 1995 on the show Sisters, where he replaced Laurence Olivier as Hamlet for one episode. After that, he has appeared in shows like Martial Law (with Jude Ciccolella), Alias (with Patrick Bauchau), and The Newsroom. Smith also appeared in one episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, created by Brannon Braga. The episode in which he appeared also featured series regulars John Billingsley and Connor Trinneer.

Aside of TV, Smith has appeared in films like Transformers (with Jon Voight and Michael O'Neill), Spanglish, The Bourne Supremacy (with Tomas Arana), and Cellular (with Richard Burgi).

Role on 24 Edit

Smith played the role of Sam Tyler during Season 3 of 24. Tyler was a pharmacist that was infected with the Cordilla virus by William Cole. Smith appeared in just one episode and was credited as a co-star.
