Season 1 of 24 began in November of 2001 on the Fox Network. It was created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran who were also executive producers along with Brian Grazer, Tom Krantz, Howard Gordon and Stephen Hopkins. The was best known for it's focus on the characters, tense storylines and the use of real-time. Day 1 starts and ends at Midnight.
Summary
Jack Bauer, director of the Los Angeles CTU, is called in at midnight to respond to a threat on the life of Senator David Palmer who is visiting the city on the day of the California Presidential Primary. Bauer is also warned of a possible mole inside the CTU.
Bauer's wife and daughter are kidnapped during the day and Bauer must choose between his duty and his family's lives as he is blackmailed by the terrorists.
