The Season 1 Alternate Ending

The Season 1 Alternate Ending is a special feature found on the Season One DVD. It shows Teri Bauer living through her encounter with Nina Myers in the Season 1 finale.

Synopsis[]

Jack runs into the conference room and embraces Kim. She asks where her mother is, and they set off to find her. Jack sees a dead security guard on the floor, and asks two others if they have searched the floor. They do not say anything, and Jack runs through the rooms, telling Kim to go back. He finds Teri tied up in a corner, and runs over and unties her. She stirs and turns around. As Jack pulls the tape from her mouth she shouts, "It's Nina!" but Jack tells her that they have already caught her.

Kim runs in and all three of them hug. They stand up and walk out of the room.

Background information and notes[]

  • Instead of the silent clock that occurs in the final draft of the episode, the ticking clock is heard (however, the ticking sound is a different one than that used in other episodes and in fact is the one used throughout the premiere episode) as the timer appears at the end of this scene.
