This article lists all the real-life shooting locations for the third season of 24. A scene shot "on location" refers to any filming that took place outside of the main studio set section of the production headquarters building at 6250 Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills. Studio set locations are listed at the bottom of the page.

Van driving[]
4th & Hill
The opening shot of the scene shows the US bank tower viewed from the south. It then pans down to the intersection of 4th Street & Hill Street in Downtown Los Angeles, where the van is driving southeast down 4th Street. We see the van pass the intersection with South Broadway, further down 4th Street.
National Health Services[]
Premier America Credit Union
The exterior scenes at National Health Services were filmed at the back entrance of the Premier America Credit Union building at 19687 Prairie Street in Chatsworth. The interior scenes were shot on set.
Downey Holding Facility[]
Sheriff Road
The scenes at the prison were filmed at the Sybil Brand Institute, a closed women's prison at 4500 East City Terrace Drive in Monterey Park. When driving away from the prison, Chase Edmunds and Jack Bauer drive south down Sheriff Road.
University of Southern California[]
Outside the Bovard building
When David Palmer arrives at USC, he drives down Trousdale Parkway at the real university in West Adams. Palmer arrives outside the Bovard Auditorium at the south of the campus, and the interior scenes were shot here also.

The scenes at the Salazar Ranch in Las Nieves were shot at a villa at 2600 White Stallion Road near Thousand Oaks.

Trillium Towers reflected in the window
As in Season 2, the exterior of CTU as Jack and Chase leave is shot outside of the 24 soundstage, located around 6250 Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills. The studio building has since been demolished and replaced with the Triana apartment complex. The Trillium Towers can be seen reflected in Chase's window as he gets in the car.

The road that Jack is parked on when Nicole Duncan arrives was shot on S Hope Street adjacent to the 110 Freeway. When the vans set off afterwards, they turn onto West 31st Street.

When Kyle Singer gets off the bus and enters the Los Feliz Mall, he is walking southeast down 5th Street just by LA Center Studios. When Tony Almeida lands the helicopter, he enters the east entrance of Northridge Fashion Center in Northridge. The interior scenes of the mall were also filmed at Northridge (this was later used as Sunrise Hills Shopping Mall in Season 5). The parking garage where Jack and Nicole Duncan enter was at LA Studios again.

When Jack and Nicole drive to the mall, we see them exit the Olive Street tunnel that runs under the Water Court of California Plaza (they're travelling northeast). Then later we see them travelling southeast on 4th Street, on the bridge over the 110 Freeway. There is then a shot from the interior of their car a little further down 4th Street, about to pass under the Flower Street bridge.

In the scene when the helicopters try to shoot Jack down, the opening shot is him flying south by the Long Beach Freeway, with the Gage Avenue bridge in the distance. Then there is a shot of him further north by the Long Beach Freeway, flying southeast over the Unified Grocers building. It then cuts to him flying over Downtown LA.

Jack flies over Downtown LA, past the City National Bank, and lands next to Pershing Square on Hill Street. He and Ramon run into the Pershing Square subway station, pursued by Chase.

PK LA Shayan Jewelry on S Broadway
Chase speaks to Officer Brooks outside the Pershing Square subway station, before running off. There is next a shot of him running south on Broadway, past the PK LA Shayan Jewelry store. There is then a shot of him running from the Pershing Square station again, out of Lindley place and across 5th Street. Next there is a shot of him running south down Lindley Place, where he discovers the open service hatch in the ground.

The scene of Jack's plane landing in Mexico was filmed at Santa Monica Airport. Salazar's motorcade drives south past the Santa Monica Propeller building, past an "Aero Mexicana" sign put there by the 24 team, and past the Douglas DC-3 parked there before meeting the plane on the main runway.

In the final split screen, we see Anne Packard driving east on Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, with the Lexus dealership visible in front of her car.

In the final split screen we also see Chase Edmunds get into Simon Cullens's private plane, which is parked by a hangar on the south side of Santa Monica Airport.

The scenes at Alan Milliken's house were shot at a mansion at 1355 West Portrero Road in Thousand Oaks, not far from where the Salazar Ranch is. This house has since been bought by Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx.

As Amador leaves the Go Club (in the first act-in clock), he pulls out of 2nd Street and onto Olive Street. As Jack and Chase follow him, they too pull out of this intersection. Later there is a shot from the inside of their car driving north up Hill Street past Pershing Square. After Stephen Saunders instructs Amador to lose his tail, he performs a U-turn on Olive Street just next to the intersection with Kosciuszko Way. Later, he turns onto Kosciuszko Way from Olive Street.

Jack and Chase drive south down Hill Street past the International Jewelry Center by Pershing Square. Later, we see them drive southwest down South Hope Street, past REDCAT (Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater) by the intersection with 2nd Street.

The MI6 office building was filmed in 1100 Wilshire, an old office building. One Wilshire is visible from the window. The main office and the stairwell were used, although a corridor to the stairs and the server room were built on set. This location was later used as the Rockland Building.

The pharmacy where William Cole meets Sam Tyler was filmed at De Soto Pharmacy at 20914 Roscoe Blvd, in Canoga Park. The picture of the exterior shown in Adam's briefing is also of this pharmacy.

On top of the hotel
Again, the scenes of the helicopter taking off from the CTU rooftop were filmed on the Warner Center Marriott hotel in Woodland Hills.

Stopping to dispose of Chappelle's body
In the third act-in clock, we see the van containing Chappelle's body stopped on 47th Street just off Lorna Vista Avenue, near the train crossing.

Jane Saunders's apartment, when she is watched leaving by Lennox, was filmed at Warner Club Villas at 5800 Owensmouth Avenue.
Santa Barbara[]

When Jack and Kim land in Santa Barbara, there is a shot of helicopter landing in the train yard where Chappelle was killed. However as soon as they land their helicopter is parked behind a building at 4711 District Boulevard, and they get into a van on District Boulevard. Later, there is a shot of the van driving past the same building.

When Sunny Macer calls Chloe O'Brian from Health Services, she is on the roof of a building at the corner of Rose Street and Traction Avenue in Downtown LA. The MTA building and buildings on Hewitt Street are visible in the background - although apartment buildings have since been built on the car park that was next to it.

Looking down Berendo Street
The opening shot of Tony driving is him going southeast on 7th Street, past the intersection with Flower in Downtown LA. There is then an interior shot of his car screeching to a halt at the intersection of 7th and New Hampshire, in Wilshire.
We then see Jack's car driving north on New Hampshire Avenue, before turning west on 7th Street.
It then cuts back to Tony driving, we see him at the same Downtown intersection of 7th and Flower, shot from the other side of the road so Macy's Plaza is visible. There is an interior shot of his car back in Wilshire, driving east on 7th Street past the intersection with Vermont Avenue. Then Jack crashes into him at the intersection with Berendo Street, and they talk at the crossroads there.
Saunders' hideout[]

The scenes at Saunders' new hideout were again filmed at the abandoned Ambassador Hotel at 3400 Wilshire Boulevard. Michelle almost escapes, and reaches a gate on Wilshire Blvd, but turns back. The building has since been demolished and rebuilt as the UCLA Community School.

When Jack and Tony arrive at the payphone (said to be at the northeast corner of Taylor and Vine), they turn left off Traction Avenue and onto South Hewitt Street in Downtown LA. They speak to Stephen Saunders at a payphone on Hewitt Street, next to the 800 Traction Avenue building.

The scenes at Sherry's house were filmed at the back of a house at 23754 Malibu Road in Malibu.

The scenes at the bridge were filmed at the real 6th Street Bridge in Downtown LA. Jack and Tony drive north up Mesquit Street to meet Chase at the bridge, and Saunders' men are driving south on Santa Fe Avenue before turning left onto an alley that joins up with Mesquit. The trade happens in this alley, and Saunders escapes by jumping into the tunnel under the bridge and running north up the riverbed before being apprehended by the 4th Street Bridge.

The scene outside the Chandler Plaza Hotel where Jack threatens Jane Saunders and they watch the vials being captured was filmed at the front of LA Center Studios, where the other Chandler Plaza scenes were filmed.
Virus takedowns[]
San Francisco takedown
The footage of the virus couriers being apprehended in San Francisco and New York were shot at LA Center Studios, very near to where Jack and Chase were watching the footage. The New York virus was attached to the railings by the Flix Café, and the San Francisco courier was apprehended on top of the building that the café is in.
Following Rabens[]
North up 7th Street
As Jack and Chase drive to pursue Rabens, the opening shot is them driving north up 7th Street before the intersection with Hope, followed by a shot of them driving southwest on Hope before turning right onto 7th (dialogue says they are turning right on Flower). There are then two interior shots in their car, driving up 7th Street to the 7th Street Metro Center.

Again the scenes at the subway station were filmed at the 7th Street Metro Center station in Downtown LA.
Car chase[]
Intersection of 2nd & Grand
The first part of the car chase takes place in Downtown LA. Chase spots Rabens driving southwest down Hope street, so Jack turns left off 3rd street to follow him. Then there is a shot of them driving southeast down 3rd street and turning left on Grand Avenue. There is then a shot from the inside of Jack's car as they drive northeast up Grand, past the Disney Concert Hall. There is then an exterior shot of the cars further back on Grand Avenue, passing the intersection with 2nd street again.
Stopped by truck[]
Looking north
Next, Rabens and Jack drive north on Hewitt Street and Rabens turns right onto 1st Street, while Jack is stopped by a truck. Rabens is then instantly further along 1st street, crossing the bridge over the river. Jack follows him over this bridge.
Middle School[]
El Segundo
The middle school on Chamberlain was filmed at El Segundo High School in El Segundo.
Studio sets[]
Like last season, the main production offices of 24 were located at 6250 Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. The CTU Los Angeles set was kept, but given a redesign, and the District office set was also kept. The other sets were converted into new locations for this season by Joseph Hodges. In 2005, this studio building was demolished and converted into the Triana Apartment Complex, and the show's production office moved to Chatsworth for Seasons 4 to 8.

National Health Services set[]

The interior scenes at National Health Services were constructed on stage. The set included some corridors, an airlock leading to an incubation room, and an observation room next to it.
Singer apartment set[]

For episode 3, the Singers' apartment location was duplicated on stage, including the kitchen, living area, and a bathroom where Helen Singer tries to get rid of the virus. The showering off plastic area where Jack speaks to Nicole Duncan was also set up on stage. All of the scenes in this episode were shot here, with the exception of the scenes in Kyle's bedroom, the scene of Jack walking in to talk to the Singers through the plastic, and a single shot later where Jack walks from the balcony into the apartment.
USC set[]

The back room of the University of Southern California, which was shot in the Bovard south lobby in episode 1, was recreated on set. It consisted of the conference table, leather sofas, and frosted partition that were used to dress the south lobby. Several scenes were shot here: The scene between Anne and David in episode 3, the scene of David being briefed by Michelle Dessler and speaking to Jack on the phone in episode 4, and the scenes in episode 5 and 6 that were not in the debate auditorium.
Good Samaritan Hospital set[]

The Good Samaritan Hospital was constructed on set, including a small corridor and operating room where Tony Almeida was.
Industrial building set[]

The industrial building where Kyle Singer and Linda were imprisoned was shot on the 24 stage, with the concrete isolation unit being constructed as well as a small side room where David Gomez sat guarding them.
Downey prison set[]

Two parts of the Downey Holding Facility were built on stage: the control room, where the Jack forces the guard to open the cells, and the wall where Chase and his troops enter the laundry room. The original hole built at the location was too small, so for the shots of the troops entering the room a larger hole was constructed on set.

A military office was built on stage for the scenes of Major John Blanchard co-ordinating the military response to Jack Bauer freeing Ramon Salazar.

The interior of the plane transporting Ramon Salazar was built on set, consisting of a cockpit, main body and a cargo hold at the rear.
Ted Packard's office set[]

Ted Packard's office was constructed on the second floor of the soundstage, with a backdrop of the Cal Edison hotel outside. The set consisted of Ted's office, with a 70's pattern wall, as well as a corridor outside and a lift.

Side room set[]

The side room at the Salazar ranch where Jack Bauer recovers from withdrawal symptoms was built on stage. It consisted of a couch, bunk beds and window, with a door to a white corridor outside.
Delta station set[]

The interior of the Delta Force mobile station was built on set, re-using some of the glass map partitions from the Tech 1 room in the CTU set.
Amador's plane set[]

The Salazar plane set from earlier in the season was reused as Michael Amador's plane interior, after being given slightly different seats.
Go parlor set[]

The interior of the Go parlor where Michael Amador was caught was constructed on set. It consisted of an entrance area with flight of stairs, several public rooms and a private back room where the virus was prepared.
Milliken house set[]

The drawing room of the Milliken house was recreated on set for one episode, when Julia Milliken is being questioned by Michael Norris. The room, as well as a doorway and corridor outside, was built on stage.
Ventilation room set[]

The ventilation room of the Chandler Plaza Hotel, where the virus was released, was built on stage. It consisted of a ventilation fan separating two areas: one accessed via a door where Gael Ortega entered, and one accessed via a ladder where Marcus Alvers placed the virus.

Chandler Plaza set[]

Parts of the Chandler Plaza Hotel were constructed on stage, using the same walls and art that were used to dress the LA Center Studios lobby. It consisted of a corridor leading to a lobby area dressed in plastic sheeting; a bedroom used for when Gael Ortega became symptomatic as well as Kathy McCartney's room; and another bedroom off the corridor that Michelle Dessler used as an office to work from.
MI6 set[]

Two areas of MI6 were built on set: the corridor to the stairwell, where Pach and Young were killed, as well as the server room that was blown up. The door to the server room was built to match the stairwell from the location shooting.
Urgent care center set[]

The urgent care center where Bill Cole was quarantine was built on set. It consisted of an entrance hall, reception desk, waiting area and an isolation room.
CTU station set[]

The interior of the CTU mobile station at University of California, Santa Barbara was shot on set, re-using the Delta station set from earlier in the season. It consisted of a main area with screens and an interrogation room.
UCSB bathroom set[]

The bathroom of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where Jane Saunders was drugged and replaced with Kim Bauer, was built on set. It re-used the walls and many of the elements of the CTU bathroom set.
Keeler HQ set[]

The interior of John Keeler's campaign headquarters was built on set, consisting of a large open plan bullpen and Keeler's private office.
Sherry basement set[]

The basement at Sherry Palmer's house was built on set to match the real wine cellar at the house location. The set had a replica wine rack, a ladder, and a safe in the wall.
Middle school set[]

The Saunders office set from earlier in the season was converted into the teachers' lounge at Chamberlain Middle School, where Jack contained the virus in a fridge.
