This article lists all the real-life shooting locations for the fifth season of 24. A scene shot "on location" refers to any filming that took place outside of the main studio set section of the production headquarters building at 21050 Lassen Street in Chatsworth. Studio set locations are listed at the bottom of the page.
This season was filmed entirely in the Los Angeles area.

Looking south over the yard
Jack drives west along E Pico Boulevard and sees the America Roofing Supply yard to the south. He then turns left onto S Grand Vista Avenue, before turning onto S Lorena Street and entering the yard from the south. After he loses his tail, he exits the yard onto Pico Boulevard and drives east.

The scenes at the oil pumps in Mojave were actually filmed in Baldwin Hills. The opening shot of the scene looks west towards the water tower.

Ventura Farms
All the outdoor scenes at President Logan's retreat were filmed at Ventura Farms, a horse ranch in Hidden Valley.

Del Moreno Drive
The scene at Tony and Michelle's house was shot at 5022 Del Moreno Drive in Woodland Hills. Part of the house was recreated on set, for the shots of the windows being blown out.
Chloe's apartment[]
Just below 7th Street
The exterior of Chloe's loft apartment was filmed just below the 7th Street bridge. After seeing Kohler, she flees into the restaurant south of 7th Street.
Mall[]
7th & Fig mall
After Chloe and Kohler running through the restaurant, the location switches to the 7th & Fig mall in Downtown Los Angeles. She avoids him on the escalators, and calls Jack from the upper level outside the mall.

Looking east
The fire station was shot at buildings at the very south of the Baldwin Hills oil field.
Variel & Topanga[]
Buildings on Bloomfield Avenue
The refinery at Variel and Topanga was actually located on the corner of Florence and Bloomfield Avenues in Santa Fe Springs. Most of the refinery, which belonged to Cenco, has since been dismantled.

Palmer's apartment[]
Ashton Avenue
Wayne Palmer's apartment building is 10660 Wilshire Boulevard. Chloe drives out of Ashton Avenue and turns left onto Manning Avenue, but then turns left again into the parking garage of the building across the street from 10660 Wilshire. She drives out of this garage and gets stopped at the intersection of Ashton and Manning.

In the act-in clock, when Jack is driving to the airport, he is seen driving west past Aaardvark's Odd Ark costume shop at 21434 Sherman Way in Canoga Park.

The exterior and interior scenes at Ontario Airport were filmed at the empty Terminal One of the actual Ontario Airport in Ontario.

All of the interiors were shot at Terminal 1 of Ontario Airport. The exteriors in the opening scenes, before Curtis Manning arrives, were shot outside the terminal.

Once Curtis arrives, all of the exterior scenes at Ontario Airport switch to Van Nuys Airport, at a hangar next to the 94th Aero Squadron restaurant.

Inside the hangar
The final scene in Hangar BB was shot in a hangar at the west side of Van Nuys Airport in the old Van Nuys Air National Guard base, which has since been torn down. However, the shots of the hole in the floor and the nerve gas container were shot on studio.

Again the scenes in Hangar BB were shot at the old Van Nuys Air National Guard base. The terrorists' truck drives out of a gate onto Balboa Boulevard.

Driving northeast Los Angeles Street
The establishing shot of Jack Bauer and Mara Tyler driving back to CTU shows their car driving northeast on Los Angeles Street over the bridge crossing the Santa Ana Freeway. This is an alternative shot from "Day 4: 8:00am-9:00am", showing the same vehicle and location as the shot of Jack and Ronnie's car.

The CTU staging area in this episode has switched location slightly to the west side of Van Nuys Airport, just north of Stagg Street. Many of the buildings have since been knocked down.

The parking garage at the corner of White Oak and Madison was actually the Ampco Airport Parking garage at 808 S Olive Street, Downtown. The close ups of Curtis waiting in his car were done on a sound stage using poor man's process.

Jack drives from South Anderson street to Sunrise street, and stops at a payphone. He then runs down the alley and enters the building, before breaking out onto the rooftop. Ostroff parks the helicopter in the parking lot across the street.

The scenes in the aftermath of the motorcade attack were again filmed on Boylston Street outside of LA Center Studios north of Downtown LA. However, the very last shot of the camera panning up to the helicopter switches to Ventura Farms, the location listed below where the helicopter lands.

Tyler Memorial Hospital is actually the St. Luke's Medical Center at 2632 East Washington Boulevard in Pasadena, a closed down hospital that has been used many times by the 24 team. The schematic that the terrorists have is an accurate plan of the building.

The scenes at 5714 Tarrowood Drive, the house of Miriam and Christopher Henderson, were shot at 9906 Toluca Lake Avenue in the Valley.

The scenes at Van Nuys Airfield were shot at the real airport, on the old Van Nuys Air National Guard base by Balboa Boulevard. The hangar that Collette Stenger is taken into is the same one used as Hangar BB earlier in the season. All the buildings in this area of the airport have since been torn down.

When driving from the airport, there is a shot of Theo Stoller's car driving west on Devonshire Street and passing Valley Chiropractic at 21740.

When Wayne Palmer's car is shot off the road, it crashes on Placerita Canyon Road next to the Golden Oak Ranch. Wayne flees through a tunnel under the road.

The scenes at 4615 Tarpin Street were shot at the industrial complex that was built on the site of the former Naval Air Station near Reeves Field on Terminal Island. The area has since been demolished.

The motel at 1850 Porter Valley Drive was filmed at a Super 8 motel on the corner of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Saticoy Street in Canoga Park. The Baskin Robbins ice cream shop is visible across the street as Wayne Palmer leaves the reception.

The gas station where Audrey Raines removes the tracker from her car is the ARCO gas station at 6310 Fallbrook Avenue in Woodland Hills. Pepboy's Autos is visible across the street as she leaves.

The parking lot where Jack and Wayne stop to get out and walk was filmed at the Mann Biomedical Park in Valencia. They walk down some steps and hide from a hum-vee on an ivy-covered bank.

The City Trust and Savings bank was filmed round the back of the Lockheed Federal Credit Union building at 21701 Erwin Street in Woodland Hills.

The scenes at Van Nuys Airfield were indeed filmed at the Van Nuys Airport in the Valley. A hangar located east of the main runway, just off Byrd Street, was used for the scenes there. The satellite footage that Karen Hayes looks at is also of the real airport.

The scene at Christopher Henderson's helipad where he boards a helicopter was filmed at the Mann Biomedical Park, which was previously used as the Larchmont building helipad in Season 4.

The Miramont Hotel, where Chloe O'Brian goes to work, was filmed at The Courtyard Marriott at 15433 Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. Chloe walks from the parking garage, through the lobby and into the lounge bar.

The scenes in the main cabin and cockpit of Flight 520 were shot in a Boeing 727 that was purchased and parked at Ontario Airport for the show. The plane was handed over to Ontario and has been used for other filming that has taken place at the airport.

Again, the scenes on board Flight 520 were shot in the plane at Ontario Airport. After the landing, the exterior shots of the plane were also shot here, with the freeway pillar Jack hides behind set up at the airport.

The portion of the episode where Jack lands the plane was a CGI sequence, although it uses some filmed footage to depict the plane landing on the 210 Freeway in Rialto (despite dialogue saying he is landing on the 118 Freeway). There is a shot showing the plane passing the North Linden Avenue bridge (and we see a sign for Ayala Drive, Riverside Avenue and Pepper Street) before it appears to come to a stop just before the North Locust Avenue bridge. However once it lands, all the scenes on the ground were shot back at Ontario Airport.

The printing works that Jack takes Charles Logan to was actually the old LA times building in Chatsworth. The shot of the helicopter landing was filmed at Point Mugu Naval Air Station.

The scenes of Palmer's casket being loaded onto the plane were filmed at Point Mugu Naval Air Station. The last shot of Logan being taken away in a car was shot back in the studio in the west Valley.

The interior of Cheng Zhi's ship, where Jack was taken at the end of the episode, was filmed inside the LA Times building in Chatsworth.
Studio sets[]
Like last season, the main production offices of 24 were located at 21050 Lassen Street in Chatsworth. The CTU Los Angeles set was kept, but the other sets were converted into new locations for this season by Joseph Hodges. Production stayed at this location until Season 8.
