A Senatorial Chief of Staff is the primary advisor of a senator, who provides expert political guidance and leads all other support staff. The role is analogous to the White House Chief of Staff of the President of the United States.

|Mike Novick was the Chief of Staff to Senator David Palmer and when Palmer won the presidency, Mike stayed on board as the White House Chief of Staff. When Novick conspired with Vice President Jim Prescott to remove Palmer from office, he was fired.|

|Ryan Burnett was Chief of Staff to Senator Blaine Mayer and helped him build the case against the Counter Terrorist Unit for crimes against humanity. He was the one who assembled the case file against Jack Bauer. Burnett was revealed to be a member of the conspiracy supporting African dictator General Benjamin Juma and was responsible for helping Juma set up the raid against the White House. He was tortured by Jack Bauer and later killed by John Quinn to prevent him from revealing damaging information about the conspirators.|
