Steve Hillenburg was a CIA official in Langley during Day 2.
Day 2[]
President David Palmer had Chief of Staff Mike Novick prepare a top secret, live video conference with Steve Hillenburg. The President brought his ex-wife Sherry to the live feed, and asked Hillenburg how he was involved with the events of the day.
Hillenburg explained that four months prior, he was contacted by Sherry. Sherry told him that NSA Director Roger Stanton tried to recruit her in an effort to undermine Palmer's Presidency. Hillenburg built a case against Stanton with numerous documents, and stated that Sherry involved herself with Stanton only to ultimately protect Palmer. Steve openly recognized that his and Sherry's actions were illegal, but mentioned that they were necessary.
