First character death?

I'm not so sure about Alan being the first death. Does that not count the Expanded Universe, then? OneWeirdDude (talk) 00:03, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

I think it's an irrelevant note. It's speculation since we don't know specifically when he was killed. If it happened before "Day 1", then it's beyond the scope of the season and we would have to consider any other death that occurred before that to make that statement. And if it happened at some point during the first hour of "Day 1", then we would be speculating if he was indeed the first one. Thief12 (talk) 00:37, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

It's not only irrelevant but also wrong. The only indication of when Alan York was killed comes from the line "Perry estimates the time of death to be between 11 and midnight last night", which is not during the timespan covered by the season. If the note is discounting expanded universe and talking about all "mentioned" deaths from the series, then chronologically the first would be someone like Lyle Gibson (as both he and York died before the day began)--Acer4666 (talk) 09:21, May 28, 2015 (UTC)

I do understand the intention of this new note. Before seeing this discussion thread, I rewrote it in a way I found more clear. BGIN is a place for useful and potentially helpful speculation, and as I see it, Perry provided an estimated which of course could be a few minutes in either direction.
