In universe Edit

The Day 2 and The Game section needs to be converted to past tense. I'd do it, myself, but I'm working on another project right now. Thanks. --Deege515 11:47, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Main image Edit

Although Bob appeared in half the episodes of Season 2, I never really considered him a major character, especially since he was in terms of the plot essentially just a big red herring. However, since I've changed his image, I'd like to open a discussion thread if anyone perceives him a major character and considers this change worthy enough to be controlled by the main image policy. The original file is present in the history of the current one for comparison. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 04:41, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

It's definitely a better picture, so I don't see why someone would oppose to it. Even with the character being on that "grey area" between being a major character or not. Thief12 04:50, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
Weird. I didn't realize the policy only applies to "major" characters. Why is this? Not only is this problematic and arbitrary, as illustrated by this thread, but I can't think of a reason why it was even written that way to begin with. Why would it be okay to change a minor character's main image, but not a "major" one's? --proudhug 16:11, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
I don't think I was here at the time that was written, but maybe it was to avoid people changing the usual promo pictures from, say, Jack Bauer's article or David Palmer's. I think there eeven was an issue with Charles Logan's picture at one time. Thief12 16:41, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
It's there to protect major characters because of the contention that not unusually comes up when people change images. Proudhug it's "okay" to change any character's image, just on the condition that if it may warrant discussion, the editor posts a thread about it too. And no minor character image change ever really warrants discussion unless it's an obvious quality issue, which can be raised afterward like anything else. I just think it's bizarre that we discriminate. I mean, the problem of dealing with a gray area like Bob Warner aside, what exactly is the difference between me changing the main image for Burtt vs. Dana Walsh? --proudhug 18:02, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
I do think it's helpful, mainly to avoid people replacing main pictures with others they might consider "cooler", or the sort. I think that by enforcing a discussion, at least we are assuring that there'll be a standard among the images of the main characters of a season, and the show overall. Oh, I'm not disagreeing with the policy, I just don't understand why we decided that it only need apply to main characters. --proudhug 21:51, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
