Why is this guy called Dan Mounts? His brother's second name is Allard, surely the TV show states his name is Dan Allard?--Acer4666 15:36, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Good question, see Talk:Frank Allard. Basically, the source for the name "Mounts" came from one of the novels and the card game, which are valid iu sources. There is no certain explanation but it's the reality of the series. Essentially they're half brothers, it would seem. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 04:49, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

San Diego State Uni[]

This article suggests that Dan lied to Janet about him and Rick attending San Diego State University - is there a source for that in Findings at CTU or something?--Acer4666 13:40, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Bump - I know he dropped out of high school but does that make it impossible for him to be at uni? Surely we only assume someone is lying if it definitely contradicts known information?--Acer4666 12:59, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
His "Findings" profile just lists the high school and makes no mention of SDSU under his education, or anywhere else in the book. Of course it's not impossible that he went to university, but I'd be willing to bet it's not true. Dan's established as a liar and a kidnapper, so any information he provided to the girls prior to their finding out he's a bad guy is definitely suspect. The article doesn't assume he's lying, it's merely phrased in such a way as to state what we know; this is what he told Janet. I think it's worded well. --proudhug 23:24, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
That is true, I have nothing against the wording of this article really - it's just I did an overhaul of the Rick Allen article making it pretty clear that he went to San Diego State, and lived by the beach, but doesn't surf so much anymore, etc! I think if Dan didn't go then neither did Rick, so maybe that whole convo he had with Kim on the rooftop was made up?--Acer4666 23:29, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
Most likely. But they need to be consistent, either way, haha. Janet York's article seems to lean more towards it being a lie, rather than just stating the facts. --proudhug 00:15, April 1, 2011 (UTC)
Sounds more like a pack of liez to me. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 00:18, April 1, 2011 (UTC)
