Isn't it better if we have a picture from the prison? --Station7 16:53, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

New CategoryEdit

(Only chose this page because it seemed relevant, it's not specifically relevant to the topic I'm bringing up)

What would you guys think of an "Imprisoned characters" category? We could people like Sergei Bazhaev, Marie Warner, Stokes (Day 7), Greg Seaton and whatnot there.--SuperbowserX (talk) 07:20, March 21, 2016 (UTC)

I'm positive this has been suggested before and not been practicable. Or perhaps you suggested "antagonists who did not end up in prison" kind of thing - but this won't work for the same reason--Acer4666 (talk) 08:08, March 21, 2016 (UTC)
here's the discussion where you suggested the opposite category--Acer4666 (talk) 08:11, March 21, 2016 (UTC)
Admittedly yeah, there's lots of ambiguity in that matter of karma houdinis. But in terms of characters who would be imprisoned would it still be too ambiguous?--SuperbowserX (talk) 19:35, March 21, 2016 (UTC)
Is this anyone who has ever been imprisoned? You seem to be equating "imprisoned" with "in CTU/FBI/CIA custody" so that would be a whole raft of characters who have ever been in custody/arrested/held at gunpoint at some point. What about people imprisoned by terrorists or other "non-official" organisations? Or, is this "last seen imprisoned" like the status policy? Because then people like Tony Almeida would be "imprisoned" despite it being very clear he was about to escape. Or like people with presidential pardons were last seen imprisoned but were about to be let free...unless Collette Stenger's lying nullified her pardon (that was never made too clear). What about Peel and the prison riot inmate? Last seen imprisoned, but also dead, so is that still imprisoned? But they were also kind of free at the time, even though still within the prison walls...and what about Simone Al-Harazi? We don't know if she is alive or not, but if she's alive she is imprisoned...and What about people like Rick Allen, imprisoned back in Day 1 but may realistically have been released by Day 9? You probably get the picture, but there is a lot of ambiguity here. Dead/Alive/Unknown is very simple status rule, adding more variables on top of that makes for a confusing category system with too many cats on pages, in my opinion.--Acer4666 (talk) 20:11, March 21, 2016 (UTC)
