We don't include Appearances templates for actors, and for good reason. Do we want them for crew, like this? Currently the writer credits section is hideous, and worse, it's inconsistent with most other OOU articles. I think we should just list crew episode credits in bullets. I'm going to forge ahead and do this. I really can't imagine any strong argument for using these templates in crew articles. If anyone wants to help visit the Robert Cochran and Michael Loceff pages to revert some others. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 18:15, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
The only practicality I've ever seen for them is for people like Jon Cassar who have a bazillion credits. --Proudhug 03:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Isn't it still hideous though even in Cassar's case? What do you think if I took the time to make it a chart like here on Gordon's page. I think it's definitely worth it. I'm going to do Cochran, then Loceff. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 22:52, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
I don't disagree that it looks hideous. Are these tables going to be confusing for people to edit, though? --Proudhug 03:27, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Someone might muck one of them up a little bit by accident, but as far as wiki tables go, these are pretty easy to repair. They're certainly less complicated than the Deaths and Previously tables. The only maintenance they will need is the occasional reordering of how many episodes are listed in each column if stuff is added as a season progresses. I generally tend to permit for this by leaving blank spots. I'm going to work on Cassar's if no one minds. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 05:43, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
I've made a minor tweak/cosmetic change by separating the seasons with bold text (they were previously lumped together). I think this makes it look a bit nicer and is also more convenient in letting people quickly find what they want. Feel free to undo the change if you guys don't like it. I like it. --Proudhug 16:21, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

I like it too, Sean. Btw guys, I'm not planning on doing Cassar's page anymore, even though I said I would. The problem there would be a disruptive amount of text in the edit box, instead of the ugly appearances templates in the loaded page. It's not consistent but it practical, just as Proudhug said. Opening quoteEdit

Blue Rook, about the opening quote you removed "Not good. Never boring", you wrote in your edit summary "weird quote... the writing's not good?". But I don't think Gordon meant that the script wasn't good, but rather that he's not necessarily aiming for good, but rather for it to not be boring. Thief12 (talk) 01:11, January 18, 2014 (UTC)
