Hawkins?[]
This guy says he was sent down from Hawkins to service the plane. I have no idea what he's referring to - a place, an air force base, a mechanic company, what? I've removed the link for now, but I dunno if anyone else knows what Hawkins refers to.--Acer4666 (talk) 13:54, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm venturing a guess based on what is written, cause I haven't seen the episode in awhile. But wouldn't it be that he said "Hawkins sent me"? which probably refers more to a person than a place or company. Just saying. It still needs verifying. Thief12 23:12, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
- I think the exact line was:
- Mitch Anderson: Are you servicing the phoenix?
- Lenkov: Yeah, they sent me down from Hawkins.
- I'm fairly sure that would be referring to a place or company rather than person. But who knows? I was expecting to find like a well-known place near LA or a big air force base somewhere, but Google isn't helping!--Acer4666 (talk) 01:50, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
- Pretty common, when they call McGuire Air Force Base just "McGuire", or Andrews, or Edwards. Blue Rook talk contribs 03:40, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, but those things are normally little real-world references to existing air bases. It seems odd they would invent a fictional air force base and then mention it in passing like that. This is the only airport type thing called "Hawkins", and it's in Mississippi so I doubt he would've been sent to LA from there!
- But still, if we assume it is an air force base, would it be ok to name the article "Hawkins Air Force Base" to avoid a messy dab with Hawkins?--Acer4666 (talk) 13:11, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
