I'm afraid that, unless an in-universe source for Milošević's properly accented name is provided, we need to stick with spelling it the way we've seen. --Proudhug 21:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

May I ask why? For example, Ronald Reagan is mentioned at several locations as the person he was in real life, and while his name has no unique accented letters, his name would be written as in real life. I believe Milošević should have his real name written in the article, as the characters refers to him as the historical real-life person. The reason that many sources only writes Milosevic is that they do not wish to use time on writing the correct name, they do not know the precise spelling or they believe it is not that important.
Secondly, while there are no real-life person of Milošević in the series, would this be acceptable for use in the article?[1] -- Realismadder 16:06, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

It's important to distinguish between real-life and the 24-verse. Even though the show is based on our world, it's not the same world. CTU does not exist, we've never had any presidents named Palmer, and a nuclear bomb has never detonated in Valencia. This extends even to "real life" people and things. Wiki 24 strives to only document information that is established within the world of 24.

The only information that was given for Ronald Reagan was that his name was "Reagan" and he was president nearly twenty years ago, so that's all we include. Any additional information, such as his first name and circumstances of his death, goes in the "Background information and notes" section of the article. Since, as far as I've seen, all in-universe references to Milosevic spell his name without the accents, that's what we need to use here. Just because the real Milosevic is spelled that way, doesn't mean we can assume 24's Milosevic is. Remember this isn't an article about the real person, it's a fictionalized version of him. The real Milosevic likely didn't associate with anyone named Victor Drazen.

As for the photo, since it's the only in-universe image of Milosevic, then yes it should become his image. --Proudhug 18:40, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

I still believe though that as it is generally accepted that the Milošević in 24 is the same person as the real Slobodan Milošević, and thus there is no reason not to include it. However, you can edit it if it is wished, but then I urge you to have his real name mentioned in the "Background information and notes" section. -- Realismadder 14:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Of course it's not the same person. As I said, the real Milosevic didn't associate with anyone named Victor Drazen. --Proudhug 19:08, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

You never know...haha. --Snsean11 05:25, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
