Tanaka was a security guard working at the Ontario Airport during Day 5.
Day 5[]
Tanaka was working at the front desk of Ontario Airport when Jack Bauer approached him and asked him where could he find the baggage claim supervisor, and Tanaka showed him the direction. A few minutes later, Anton Beresch used a remote detonator to blow up a van parked outside the airport, and his subordinate Dawn Brigade terrorists began firing guns in the air, creating a panic in the terminal hall. As Tanaka drew his pistol, he was shot to death by one of the terrorists.
