Tanoai Reed (born February 10, 1974; age 52) is a stunt performer and actor who appeared on 24. He is a prolific stunt performer who often doubles for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (who is also his cousin).
Biography and career[]
Tanoai Reed was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is of Samoan, Norwegian, Swedish and Irish descent.
Reed began his professional acting career in the 90's, appearing both as an actor and stunt on films like Waterworld (with Dennis Hopper), Daredevil (with Leland Orser), and Iron Man 2 (with Tim Guinee). Reed has also appeared in shows like Hawaii Five-0 (with Daniel Dae Kim).
Reed is also the cousin of movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Since 2002, he has doubled for Johnson in most of his films, including The Scorpion King, Doom, Gridiron Gang, Hercules, and the Fast & Furious franchise.
