Tarun Khosla was the CEO of Vedant Investments, an investment firm based at Atlanta Towers. He was a secret financial supporter of Raja Talapathi and his crew, with ties to Kartik Chandrashekhar.

Tarun attended Wharton Business School where he topped his class. He worked as an investment banker in New York and Hong Kong for eight years, before starting Vedant Investments in India five years before Day 1. ("9:00am-10:00am")

During Day 1, Tejpal Singh found an e-mail on Jiah Pastakhia's hard drive that mentioned Khosla. After some investigation, they discovered that Khosla had transferred 150 million rupees to Yakub Syed. She passed this onto Jai Singh Rathod, who made his way to Atlanta Towers and took the place of Anwar Vedanta, Khosla's driver. Khosla, on his way to the airport, got into the car and was driven away by Jai. ("9:00am-10:00am")

On the way to airport, Tarun got a call from Kartik Chandrashekhar asking to meet. Tarun instructed his driver to divert to the meeting place, but he soon realised that he was being driven by an impostor. Jai then drew a gun on him, and asked where his family were. Tarun maintained his innocence, so Jai drove him into a parking lot at Eastern Mills. Tarun grabbed a gun he had concealed under a car seat, but Jai disarmed him and broke his nose.

Jai then proceeded to beat Tarun for information. He asked about Parvez and Abhay, who Tarun claimed not to know. Jai then sent a message to Karthik, asking for a meet at the Eastern Mills parking lot. Jai then threatened to force a wet cloth down Tarun's throat and pull out his intestines. Tarun responded by showing Jai a picture of his wife and son, saying he wished to get back safely to them.

During a lull in the interrogation, Tarun grabbed a metal bar and swung it at Jai. However, Jai disarmed him and hit him in the chest, cauing an asthma attack. With his dying breaths, Tarun cursed Jai in Tamil, claiming that they had been working for many years to trap him. Jai attempted to resuscitate Tarun, but he refused his inhaler and died.
