A taser was a type of non-lethal weapon for disabling someone that could also be used for torture.
Sue Mishler used a taser to stun Malenkiy before pushing his partner over a cliff. Malenkiy pulled the barbs out of himself, but Jack soon knocked him over the cliff as well. (Chaos Theory)
Jack Bauer is hit with a taser
During Day 1, Jack Bauer was wandering around the Saugus Wildlife Preserve and found a stairwell that led to a locked door of a facility. Suddenly a group of guards opened the door and shot Jack with a taser, immobilizing him. They then dragged him inside. ("Day 1: 7:00pm-8:00pm")
Ronnie Stark incapacitates Jack
During Day 2, Jack was escaping Ronnie Stark and his men at an urgent care center. He exited the building, pursued by Stark's men, but after killing one driver, Stark shot him with a taser and carried him back inside, unconscious. ("Day 2: 2:00am-3:00am")
On Day 7, Jack Bauer used a taser to incapacitate Ryan Burnett in an office of the White House. He used the device to torture Burnett about the plans initiated by Benjamin Juma. When Allison Taylor accessed the intercom and pleaded with Jack to stop, he responded by destroying the phone with his taser. He continued to torture Burnett until he was stopped by Secret Service. During Day 8, John Mazoni used his taser to stun Jack Bauer after he discovered the bodies of Jim and Maggie Koernig at 11447 Broadway. He then dragged Jack into the house to torture him. ("Day 8: 6:00pm-7:00pm")
