Cecil Taylor Nichols (born March 3, 1959; age 61) played Burke during Season 5 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Taylor Nichols was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but raised in East Lansing, Michigan. He graduated the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a major in business and theater. He also trained for acting with Terry Screiber and Bill Alderson, among others.

Nichols began his professional acting career in 1990, appearing in the film Metropolitan. Some years after that, he appeared in the film Barcelona, where he met Margarita de Eguilior, a Spanish actress. They married the next year and have two daughters together. Other films in which Nichols has started are Congo (with John Hawkes and Nicholas Kadi), The Last Days of Disco (with Edoardo Ballerini), Boiler Room, Jurassic Park III, and the 2014 remake of Godzilla (with Al Sapienza and Patrick Sabongui).

Aside of films, Nichols has also appeared in numerous TV shows. Some of the ones in which he has appeared are The Mentalist (with Benito Martinez), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), Eleventh Hour (with John Prosky), Jericho (with Sprague Grayden and Alex Carter), Grey's Anatomy (with F.J. Rio and Tom Choi), The Handler (with Stana Katic, Louis Lombardi, and John Pyper-Ferguson), FrakyLinks (with Tamlyn Tomita), Any Day Now (with Chris Mulkey), and ER (with Eriq La Salle).
