Tear gas was a type of non-lethal chemical weapon that irritated the victim's eyes, nose and lungs. It was a milder alternative to Mustard gas, and was often used for crowd control. (Head Shot)
During Day 1, Lauren Proctor had a can of pepper spray in the glove compartment of her car, which she sprayed at Jack Bauer after he car jacked her. However, Jack knocked the can aside and told her to keep driving. ("Day 1: 7:00am-8:00am")
When attacking Charles Logan's motorcade during Day 8, Jack Bauer forced a grenade into Logan's limousine which released tear gas into the vehicle. Unable to bear it, Logan exited the vehicle and was kidnapped by Bauer. ("Day 8: 1:00pm-2:00pm")
