Timothy Michael Omundson (born July 29, 1969; age 54) played Russian terrorist Polakov during Season 5 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Timothy Omundson was born in St. Joseph, Missouri. His father was a railroad worker and his mother a teacher. Omundson is the youngest of four children. When he was still a baby, his family moved to Bellevue, Washington, where he grew up.

At the age of twelve, Omundson began studying theater at the Seattle Children's Theater, and even spent a summer in New York City at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. When he was 13 years old, he also spent a month traveling in Germany and Austria with his father. Omundson attended Interlake High School graduating in 1987. After that, Omundson went to the University of Southern California where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater.

Besides being featured in 24, Omundson is known for his roles in shows like Jericho (with Alicia Coppola), Xena: Princess Warrior, Psych, Galavant (with Stanley Townsend), Supernatural (with Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard), and Judging Amy (with Gregory Itzin). Other shows in which he has appeared are Deadwood (with John Hawkes) and NYPD Blue (with Eric Balfour and Ricky Schroder).

Aside of TV, Omundson has appeared in films like Starship Troopers (with Eric Bruskotter), Swordfish (with Rudolf Martin, Zach Grenier, Carmen Argenziano, and Kirk B. R. Woller), and Mission: Impossible III (with Bahar Soomekh).

Role on 24[]

Timothy Omundson played the role of Polakov, a member of the Dawn Brigade separatist group, during Season 5. Polakov was one of the terrorists that released the Sentox nerve gas at the Sunrise Hills Shopping Mall during the first half of the season. Omundson appeared in two episodes and was credited as a guest star.
