Titian was a renowned painter.

When they met at the Getty Museum, Teri Bauer and Phil Parslow admired one of Titian's works on display, a depiction of the goddess Venus restraining her lover Adonis from leaving on a hunt.

After Teri's death, Parslow testified before the House Special Subcommittee on his experience helping Teri deal with her memory loss. Parslow, upset over her passing, remarked that the story of Venus and Adonis had ended tragically with Adonis' death, and wondered if she had feared that her husband Jack would come to a similar end.
