Tony Curran (born December 13, 1969; age 55) played Lugo Elson during Season 8 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Tony Curran was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied at Holyrood Secondary School and later graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Curran began his professional acting career in 1985, appearing in the TV show Stookie (with Ken Drury). After that, he has appeared in shows like Taggart (with Alec Newman), Numb3rs (with Navi Rawat, Peter MacNicol, and Matt Yang King), Hawaii Five-0 (with Daniel Dae Kim), Covert Affairs (with Gregory Itzin and Navid Negahban), and Luck (with Spencer Garrett).

Curran gained notoriety for his role of Lenny in the 1997 show This Life. He also had a recurring role in the mini-series The Pillars of the Earth (with Liam Garrigan). Since 2013, he has been part of the main cast of the show Defiance, which also features Omar Madha as director.

Aside of TV shows, Curran has appeared in several blockbuster films like Pearl Harbor (with Colm Feore, Ping Wu, and Glenn Morshower), Blade II (with Thomas Kretschmann), Gladiator (with Tomas Arana and Tommy Flanagan), X-Men: First Class, and Thor: The Dark World. Other films in which he has appeared are Shallow Grave, The 13th Warrior, Miami Vice (with Isaach De Bankole, Domenick Lombardozzi, and John Hawkes), and The Lazarus Project (with Bob Gunton).
