Universal Studios Lot is a film and television production facility located in Los Angeles. 24 has utilised the lot for production and post production services throughout the show's run. It is owned by the NBCUniversal media conglomerate.

The backlot is a filming area consisting of several interconnecting streets and buildings, with a town square. 24 used this area on two separate occasions: in Season 2, for the alley where Jack Bauer met Jonathan Wallace and was ambushed by commandos; and in Season 7, for the streets where Jack Bauer pursued Iké Dubaku in a car chase.

In 2008, not long after the Season 7 filming, the backlot suffered damage from fire and had to be rebuilt.

Post Production Sound Services[]

The facility also provides post production sound services, which have been used for every episode of 24 from Season 4 onwards under the name of Universal Studios Sound. It was also used for 24: Redemption, 24: Live Another Day and 24: Legacy, under the brand name of NBCUniversal StudioPost.
