The show 24 is characterized by sprawling groups of bad guys crawling out of the woodwork. Even if you don't see them in a particular instance, there are mentioned characters scheming away offscreen.

For some reason, however, the crew working for Dmitri Gredenko was a very exclusive group. At maximum, I count 16 different faces. Yes, I am aware that there are a handful of potentially tinier groups. For one reason, Gredenko's is my favorite of the small villain shops. That reason is: a large number of these villains are not seen to be arrested or killed. Justice is relatively swift in 24 but many of Gredenko's terrorist cell members seem to have escaped.

When Acer4666 discovered and uploaded this awesome pic, it spurred me to post my findings about the Russian Ultranationalists for all to read, enjoy, and correct wherever necessary, in the same spirit of Acer's /Gaines' Group and Thief12's /Season5Thugs.

Leadership Edit

Dmitri Gredenko Edit

6x10-311

Status: DECEASED

Victor Edit

Victor S6ep14

Status: DECEASED

Yuli Edit

YuliS6ep11

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

  • Played by: Michael Khmourov
  • Live appearances
  • Yuli disappears entirely after he and his two truckers drive the drones to the Shadow Valley desert and rendezvous with Gredenko, Victor, and the others. Get ready folks, because it's not just this smug asshole who apparently escapes justice.

Goons Edit

Hirsute Edit

6x09 David Brickman

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

  • Played by: David Brickman
  • Live appearances
    • Day 6: 2:00pm-3:00pm - 2:02pm, standing guard prominently by 9421 Glasgow window, seen first even before Gredenko himself
    • Day 6: 3:00pm-4:00pm
    • Day 6: 4:00pm-5:00pm - 4:02pm, Shadow Valley, his back is barely visible; later at the split screen of 4:53:37 split screen, he is carrying the back end of an aerial drone box with Baldo, while Wingman and Browncoat carry the front
    • Day 6: 5:00pm-6:00pm - 5:23pm, he can be spotted walking to the right of the screen, with an assembled drone prominently in the foreground
    • Day 6: 6:00pm-7:00pm - 6:20pm, he walks right behind Abu Fayed; seen also during 6:42:07 (top left) split screen with Browncoat in the foreground
    • Day 6: 7:00pm-8:00pm - 7:03pm, he is working on a suitcase nuke while FlashlightGuy provides light and nearby the separate pair consisting of Browncoat and Baldo work on a different nuke
  • Take note: this dude looks very different between his first episode and all his other ones. While he is still wearing the same clothes, he has not kept his beard trimmed; and, whereas originally his forehead was visible because his hair was raised up in front, by 4pm he has allowed his head hair to drop down into a bowl-cut looking blob.
  • Not seen again after the group hastily departs from the Shadow Valley.

Baldo 1 Edit

6x09 2.47pm baldo

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

  • Played by: Anthony ?????
  • Live appearances
    • Day 6: 2:00pm-3:00pm - 2:47pm, standing guard prominently by 9421 Glasgow window, just like Hirsute earlier that same episode
    • Day 6: 3:00pm-4:00pm
    • Day 6: 4:00pm-5:00pm - 4:02pm, Shadow Valley, his back is visible, standing next to Browncoat, as the screen credits for Adoni Maropis + "Rade Sherbedgia" appear; 4:31pm he is busily tinkering inside a large black suitcase-type box right as Yuli arrives; 4:53:35pm/4:53:40pm split screen, he is carrying the back end of an aerial drone box with Hirsute, while Wingman and Browncoat carry the front
    • Day 6: 5:00pm-6:00pm - 5:23pm, his back can be spotted in the center of the screen, with an assembled drone prominently in the foreground, while Hirsute walks to the right
    • Day 6: 6:00pm-7:00pm - 6:20pm, he walks behind Gredenko; seen also during 6:42:07 split screen
    • Day 6: 7:00pm-8:00pm - 7:03pm, he is working on a suitcase nuke with Browncoat quite nicely until Abu Fayed walks over and shouts at them like they are part of his own crew
  • A different actor appears as a bald henchman and is killed in 8pm, but this seems to be a different character too, since there is a goon overhaul in that episode. See Baldo 2.
  • Not seen again after the group hastily departs from the Shadow Valley.

The following are under construction: Edit

Browncoat Edit

6x14 7.03pm baldo, browncoat

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

Wingman Edit

Gann planewing

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

Yuli trucker 1 Edit

Yuli trucker 2 Edit

6x11 4.31pm trucker2

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

  • Live appearances
    • Day 6: 4:00pm-5:00pm - 4:31 he arrives in the second truck, right behind Yuli and Trucker 1 who are in the first vehicle. He is visible for a heartbeat in the distant, blurry background immediately after Yuli touches the aerial drone in the box. Wearing sunglasses & a red jacket. I'm 99% certain he was driving alone.
    • In my opinion, the most obscure of all the Gredenko goons.

FlashlightGuy Edit

6x14 7.03pm hirsute, flashlight

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

  • Played by: ?????
  • Live appearances
    • Day 6: 7:00pm-8:00pm - 7:03pm, he is shining light on a suitcase nuke while Hirsute fiddles diligently, and nearby the separate pair consisting of Browncoat and Baldo work on a different nuke, another view at 7:05"34pm
    • Day 6: 8:00pm-9:00pm - 8:04:11 he closes the truck loading door immediately after Gredenko goes in to talk with Fayed, more direct view of face but blurry
  • It is easy to confuse FlashlightGuy with Browncoat but they are indeed different people, appearing together in the same scene.
  • Acer has brought it to my attention that this guy seems to arrive with Fayed, and therefore may not be a part of Gredenko's crew. Good information, and that may be the case, but call me a bigot: this guy does "look Russian" enough for me to leave him here (at least for now).

Victor guard 1 Edit

6x14 Tony Donno

Status: Deceased

Victor guard 2 Edit

6x14 Dustin Meier

Status: Deceased

Backseatsman Edit

6x15 John Austin

Status: LAST SEEN ALIVE

  • Played by: John Austin
  • Live appearances
    • Day 6: 8:00pm-9:00pm - 8:31pm, barely visible for only an instant behind Gredenko in the car. Later he is either magically replaced by Greyhair, or, Gredenko stopped and swapped for a crew in that car.

Stubble Edit

6x15 Gredenko goon

Status: Deceased

Baldo 2 Edit

Gredenko's thug

Status: Deceased

  • Played by: (possibly Theo Kypri)
  • Live appearances
  • This character appears strictly in the Gredenko Capture scene, just like Stubble and Greyhair.
  • He seems to be a replacement for Baldo 1, but it is not the same performer.

Greyhair Edit

Gredenkothug

Status: Deceased

  • Played by: ?????
  • Live appearances
  • This character appears strictly in the Gredenko Capture scene, just like Stubble and Baldo 2.
  • This clown is the final guy to get taken down by CTU when Gredenko was captured, has relatively long grey hair, and seems to have magically replaced John Austin in the right side backseat
