I'm just another hardcore 24 fan. I hope this page serves its purpose of letting anyone that peeks in here to know a little more about me and what I think about the show. Feel free to leave me any comments on my talk page.
About Me[edit | edit source]
I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, in the Caribbean. I lived for 29 years in the south part of the island, specifically in the city of Ponce, the main city of the south. However, I got married in 2006 and moved to the capital, San Juan. In 2015, we moved to her hometown of Dorado where we currently live. I'm a computer technician and professor and have been teaching since 2000.
Other than 24, my other interests are films in general, computers, history, photography, and most genres of music. I also enjoy sports a lot even though I suck playing most of them. As for shows, here is a list of shows I've seen, liked, hated, or gave up on:
Current TV shows I'm watching
Old TV shows I'm catching up on
- Hell on Wheels (finished watching season 1)
- Twin Peaks (finished watching season 1)
- Agent Carter (finished watching season 1)
TV shows I've finished
TV shows I gave up on
TV shows I watch randomly
- Law & Order series
- Criminal Minds
- Big Bang Theory
- Modern Family
Recent TV shows I've seen one or two episode
- 12 Monkeys
- Halt and Catch Fire
- The Knick (saw about 3-4)
- Miracle Workers
- Fuller House
- Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I'm also an administrator on the The Shield Wiki (if you're a fan of the show, feel free to drop by. It gets lonely around there), although I have it on hiatus for now. I was rewatching the series, but put it on hold to dedicate time to other shows.
On March 2012, I was made an administrator on the Top Shot Wiki. Great competition show about marksmanship. Aired on History Channel! Finally, on January 2014, I became an administrator on Petrapedia (originally called Petra Wiki), a wiki dedicated to legendary Christian rock band, Petra.
Me and 24[edit | edit source]
I was brought into the world of 24 by a weird chance. One of my older brothers was already a fan by the time the first or second season were underway. I, however, hadn't seen any of it. Since my brother liked it, I bought my brother the first season's DVD as a gift for Christmas. Knowing he was crazy about the gift, I gave him the next two seasons DVD's for his next birthday and Christmas. By the time the fifth season was ending, I finally decided to borrow the first DVD from him. Suffice to say, I was hooked. I remember taking one disc out just to put the next one, even at 4:00am in the morning with work on the other day. One thing I must say, I had the ending of the first season spoiled somehow, but I don't remember who or how it was. But I still loved it a lot. I quickly went to my brother and borrowed the second season's DVD and "consumed it" the same way.
When I got married in 2006, I wanted to get my wife into the show, so I borrowed the first two seasons again, as well as the other three. Thankfully, my wife loved it as well and practically devoured the whole show even faster than me (cause I couldn't see it as often because of work). As soon as the sixth season DVD's hit the shelves, we rented them all. In 2009 and 2010, we saw the seventh and eight season on Hulu.com. As you will see on my individual seasons thoughts, I've loved each and every season so far, despite their flaws.
As the show approached its end, I was hoping it would do so on a high note. I was initially disappointed with the course of the eight season, but as it hit its halfway mark, it kicked-in and finished awesomely. If I were to mention one slight gripe about the show, it would be how they decided to focus completely on Jack Bauer, instead of alternating the focus among a group of characters (without eliminating Jack), which would've made the show more varied. But that's just minor. Jack is Jack.
Me and Wiki 24[edit | edit source]
- See the articles I've created.
Like with the show, I stumbled upon this Wiki by a weird chance. On December 2008, I started making a thread of my 24 favorite characters (heroes/villains) of the show on a movie forum as a preamble to the seventh season. In my quest for accurate information and good pictures, I found this gem of a site. Considering that I was already a fan of Wikis (I'm a frequent contributor at Wikipedia) and a fan of 24, this combination was like the best of both worlds. I started merely lurking and browsing the site. But in January 27, 2009, I signed up and started contributing. My first contributions were on the articles of Dmitri Gredenko, Edgar Stiles, and Ira Gaines, mainly cleaning up and eliminating unnecessary information. Blue Rook was the first to welcome me, so thanks to him for that. After just cleaning around the edges of some small articles, I decided to dive headfirst into more complete ones.
During the last two seasons, I tried to contribute as much as I could with articles on the current seasons, cleaning, updating and adding information. But I also browse articles of past seasons and fix little things here and there. I also love to add screencaps and pictures of characters, locations, and whatnot. I kinda took a sabbatical after the show finished, but returned after a few months. I hope to continue contributing to the page for quite awhile, so let's toast to it.
Day 7[edit | edit source]
During Season 7, I worked with seven episode guides (Day 7 1:00pm-2:00pm, Day 7 3:00pm-4:00pm, Day 7 9:00pm-10:00pm, Day 7 12:00am-1:00am, Day 7 2:00am-3:00am, Day 7 3:00am-4:00am, and Day 7 4:00am-5:00am) as well as several articles on minor characters. I also created an article which I'm quite proud of: Terrorist attacks on 24. I also worked several articles on locations, minor characters, and the Previously on 24 section.
Day 8[edit | edit source]
During Season 8, I dedicated myself mostly to work with minor characters. I created several of the articles for minor and background characters, adding also screenshots. I also created several articles on locations during the season.
Show hiatus[edit | edit source]
During 2011, I started working for the Wiki 24:The Ultimate Project, specifically on Season 5. I started patiently rewatching it while working out the related articles for each episode. Unfortunately, work issues have stalled my work on that project, but I've kept myself active and busy doing a lot of "grunt" work in random articles. Recently, I've been working with the infoboxes of most characters, trying to add all the available information we have.
Live Another Day[edit | edit source]
During 24: Live Another Day, I worked with many articles on actors and secondary/supporting characters, as well as some location articles. I also added cast/crew lists to several episodes, as well as some of the "Previouslies".
Currently[edit | edit source]
Now that the last season is over, I'm doing mostly grunt work; polishing actors/actresses articles mostly. I also started a project to interview cast and crew members and feature their answers on the site. So far, we've made eleven interviews:
- Giles Matthey (Season 9 main cast member)
- Leslie Hope (Season 1 main cast member)
- Faith Elizabeth (Season 9 extra)
- Roger Cross (Season 4-6 main cast member)
- Kya Garwood (Season 9 stand-in and stunt performer)
- Nicole Burke (show assistant director)
- Sean Cameron Michael (Redemption cast member)
- Christopher Leps (show stunt performer)
- John Massari (Conspiracy score composer)
- Doug Hutchison (Season 8 guest actor)
- Fernando Chien (Season 6 stunt/actor)
- Dylan Ramsey (Legacy actor)
- Charlie Hofheimer (Legacy main cast member)
- Reed Diamond (Season 8 guest star)
- Karina Arroyave (Season 1 guest star)
I hope there's more to come as well. But in the end, I try to do whatever is needed in the Wiki.
