Pokeboard Edit

From now on, if I have a really fast question to ask you (like to verify some edit or whatever), I'll just post it here with a new bullet-point, instead of starting an entire new thread for a minor thing.. with the point being that you can answer right underneath each bullet-point. Sounds cool? I'll just add to it as it moves down the list, and I can start a new one whenever you archive your talk stuff next.

  • Can you verify this diff and check that crew member's icons and categs? Blue Rook  talk  contribs 03:07, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
    • That's a great idea! I'll start one on yours when I next have something minor to ask you. I just watched 5x24 and Lary is listed as transportation coordinator so it's right! I'll add a categ and change the main crew page. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 07:42, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
  • Good thinking. I'll add: Since we seem to approve of Template:Countdown, would you be willing to add the necessary code? Just put in my two classes and paste my timer function over the current one. --Pyramidhead 09:46, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
  • Simon do you want to keep those Unused Files like File:Episodes-OneShot.jpg clippings? I'm counting about 14 of them. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 17:51, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
    • Sorry, only just noticed this. Well, I guess we might as well delete them because they aren't doing any good and it probably is a bit pointless to have loads of the same pictures on every episode page. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 11:59, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
  • Any thoughts on Forum:Unknown actors? No need to reply if ya don't. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 22:28, August 11, 2010 (UTC)
    • I agreed with your idea, it seemed like the best option, and as there was no contest I didn't really see a need to comment. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 07:40, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
      • Very cool. By the way, one of the articles I just tagged with the new template is Luis (Day 2). Haha, I love the edit summary you made for him! That expression was how I felt when I made the page for Carl. The stuff seems insignificant, and sure it is in the scheme of things, but that doesn't take away the therapeutic effect we get when we make those pages, the sense of satisfaction, or the quality and completeness of our unique project. I'm glad I found little Luis there; stuff like that reminds me the good company I'm in, and how intensely we share this close, focused interest. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 09:42, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
        • Yes, there certainly are only a few people who go quite as far as us to the extreme level of depth we try to cover 24 with! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 18:22, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
  • We have a huge number of country articles now, but no clear connection to 24. I can see you found many in the Official CTU Ops Manual but what else was said about them? Currently they have these past-tense introductions that will always be edited to present tense, and they just link to each other and that's it. If there was more mentioned about them, we could go through and make the introductions like this: Country A, a nation of East Whatever, was mentioned during the /events of X/research of the CTU operations manual/specific context of what-have-you. In this way, people couldn't keep changing the intros. Either that, or we look at allowing the present tense in location introductions... Blue Rook  talk  contribs 15:26, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
    • There was literally a list of countries and their intelligence agencies. Nothing else said about them. I don't think we should include present tense in intros, that would be really confusing and hard to police. I think we'll either have to semi protect them or just revert them whenever they are altered. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 17:49, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
      • Argh okay. I really wish they could have made up something fictional about them all. Ah well. One small project I've been thinking about, and occasionally doing edits for, is restructuring any sentence that I just know will be made present tense by unfamiliar visitors. Do you like what I did to Luxembourg and its intelligence agency article? Blue Rook  talk  contribs 18:25, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Random question Edit

Awhile back (in your talk archive 1) I was bugging you about Max in The Game. Something else has come to my mind that I forgot to ask: when they learned that Max had to watch his family be killed, was it implied that this happened before Day 2, and therefore inspired him to attack America then? Or could the context have been more like the following: he was revealed after Day 2 and then his terrorist clients turned on him between Day 2 and The Game? If you can remember, thanks man. (I've got this old fanfic I'm trying to make believably air-tight when it comes to loose ends in the whole series plot of 24.) Blue Rook  talk  contribs 00:16, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry dude, I really can't remember. I'll have a crack at making it to that mission again on the Game and try to write down word-for-word what is said, but I haven't played it in years. I've got a fanfic as well set between Day 3-4 that deals with the people from Day 2 who never got away... I wrote meticulously 12 or 13 hours of it then I haven't even opened the document in about a year. I really do need to get back to that... (as well as that other project I told you about!) --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 16:23, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Here's another rando: what's a good image source categ for File:CTUDay8FloorPlan.jpg and File:Day8CTULogo.jpg? Blue Rook  talk  contribs 01:04, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Do we not have some kind of CTU images category? --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 03:14, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Nope but I meant a source categ, not a content categ. Where'd the images come from? Special features? Blue Rook  talk  contribs 03:39, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Oh sorry I understand. Well it's from Carlos Barbosa :) I emailed him and asked him about the floor plan for use on the CTU New York building article and he had that drawn out that he was happy to give to me. So I don't really know what category that would fall under. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 11:26, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
Haha that figures! You're out of control man. At this rate I'll see a name tag on someone with your real name printed on it in a couple of episodes. (And I'll go with "special features" categ for those files.) Nice work bro! Blue Rook  talk  contribs 15:25, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
If only! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email)

Vandalism report Edit

Right here. Regards,

Nicmavr (Talk)

Thanks man. It looks like Blue Rook dealt with it! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 10:30, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

Sig Edit

How Do You Make A Signature??? --Ianwwenhl10 18:48, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

You go into Preferences on the top bar. It's a section in there. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 21:14, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

"Next" picture Edit

Hey, I was wondering if you could link me where you found the Jack/Chloe photo you used for the Day 8 picture. I have the actual clock font and was thinking I might fool around with it. --Pyramidhead 19:44, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Its just a random one that isn't really categorised into any season. I put it with Season 6 because it was around that time that I first saw it. It's only a very small image as well, I used it pretty much as big as possible. You can find it here - [1] --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 09:17, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Owned! Edit

Jack HKG362 The Owned! Award

This Owned! Award goes to admin SignorSimon! You took the time to finish the QOTD. It was a seemingly endless task, but now it's one less obstacle and the wiki is that much closer to having its "finite projects" completed. Thanks a bunch, man. (Also I had to invent another color for these barnstars you keep getting!) Blue Rook  talk  contribs 21:52, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Fan Ficiton Edit

Hey I was wondering if there is a fan fiction area here? If not is it possible to create? I would enjoy reading them as well as creating them.
Nvander 15:50, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

There isn't on this website, as this is just an encyclopaedia for all things 24. However there is a 24 fanfic website that I've put some of my work on, its at --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 15:53, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Nightfall Edit

Hey, Simon. I see you've uploaded most (if not, all) of the Nightfall pictures. I was wondering if you scanned those pictures from copies of the comics or if you downloaded them online. I'd like to make a subpage comparing character depictions and also read those comics myself. Thanks in advance.--Citizen91 21:46, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

I uploaded pictures scanned from the comics as I own them myself. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 22:00, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome note. Edit

Hi SignorSimon! Thanks for the welcome note. I love how complete Wiki 24 is. That's awesome! I work on Wikipedia frequently and have just started browsing around this Wikia project. I just left a post on the discussion page for Manual of Style. It concerns the use of past tense when writing in the in-universe style. Please take a look at the post and, if the topic is something you're interested in, leave a reply directly on that talk page. Cheers, Ask123 22:54, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Prison BreakEdit

I have read your user page and I saw about Prison Break. If you're a fan of the show, you can always come to the Prison Break Wikia. A little help from a Prison Break fan is always good. Think about it ;) But I don't know if you're a fan. --Station7 17:49, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Collapsible navboxes Edit

Hey, I'm working on a (possible) replacement for the character appearances templates, but I need to add some things to Common.css and Common.js in order to test out the collapsible navbox template from Wikipedia. Would you be willing to stick these in? --Pyramidhead 04:22, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

In .js:

/** Collapsible tables *********************************************************
 * Description: Allows tables to be collapsed, showing only the header. See
 *               Wikipedia:NavFrame.
 *  Maintainers: User:R. Koot

var autoCollapse = 2;
var collapseCaption = "hide";
var expandCaption = "show";

function collapseTable( tableIndex )
    var Button = document.getElementById( "collapseButton" + tableIndex );
    var Table = document.getElementById( "collapsibleTable" + tableIndex );

    if ( !Table || !Button ) {
        return false;

    var Rows = Table.rows;

    if ( == collapseCaption ) {
        for ( var i = 1; i < Rows.length; i++ ) {
            Rows[i].style.display = "none";
        } = expandCaption;
    } else {
        for ( var i = 1; i < Rows.length; i++ ) {
            Rows[i].style.display = Rows[0].style.display;
        } = collapseCaption;

function createCollapseButtons()
    var tableIndex = 0;
    var NavigationBoxes = new Object();
    var Tables = document.getElementsByTagName( "table" );

    for ( var i = 0; i < Tables.length; i++ ) {
        if ( hasClass( Tables[i], "collapsible" ) ) {

            /* only add button and increment count if there is a header row to work with */
            var HeaderRow = Tables[i].getElementsByTagName( "tr" )[0];
            if (!HeaderRow) continue;
            var Header = HeaderRow.getElementsByTagName( "th" )[0];
            if (!Header) continue;

            NavigationBoxes[ tableIndex ] = Tables[i];
            Tables[i].setAttribute( "id", "collapsibleTable" + tableIndex );

            var Button     = document.createElement( "span" );
            var ButtonLink = document.createElement( "a" );
            var ButtonText = document.createTextNode( collapseCaption );

   = "right";
   = "right";
   = "normal";
   = "right";
   = "6em";

            ButtonLink.setAttribute( "id", "collapseButton" + tableIndex );
            ButtonLink.setAttribute( "href", "javascript:collapseTable(" + tableIndex + ");" );
            ButtonLink.appendChild( ButtonText );

            Button.appendChild( document.createTextNode( "[" ) );
            Button.appendChild( ButtonLink );
            Button.appendChild( document.createTextNode( "]" ) );

            Header.insertBefore( Button, Header.childNodes[0] );

    for ( var i = 0;  i < tableIndex; i++ ) {
        if ( hasClass( NavigationBoxes[i], "collapsed" ) || ( tableIndex >= autoCollapse && hasClass( NavigationBoxes[i], "autocollapse" ) ) ) {
            collapseTable( i );

addOnloadHook( createCollapseButtons );

In .css:

/* default skin for navigation boxes */
table.navbox {            /* navbox container style */
  border:1px inset #999;
table.navbox + table.navbox {
  margin-top:-1px; /* single pixel border between adjacent navboxes (doesn't work for IE6, but that's okay) */
.navbox-title, .navbox-abovebelow, table.navbox th {
  text-align:center;      /* title and above/below styles */
.navbox-group {           /* group style */
.navbox, .navbox-subgroup {
  background:#2a2a2a;     /* Background color */
.navbox-list {
  border-color:#2a2a2a;   /* Must match background color */
.navbox-title, table.navbox th {

    font-weight: normal; /* are styled here so they can be customised. */
    text-align: right;
    width: auto;
.navbox .collapseButton { /* In navboxes, the show/hide button balances the vde links from */
    width: 6em; /* Template:Tnavbar, so they need to be the same width. */
Hey man, I've done it. It sounds like a great idea, I'm very interested to see the results! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 10:36, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

One more thing to add to Common.js when you get the chance:
var hasClass = (function () {
   var reCache = {};
   return function (element, className) {
       return (reCache[className] ? reCache[className] : (reCache[className] = new RegExp("(?:\\s|^)" + className + "(?:\\s|$)"))).test(element.className);

--Pyramidhead 01:15, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Also, I changed some colors and other things in the css code above, so just paste that section over itself. --Pyramidhead 01:30, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Award Edit

When you won a boxset at HMV for answering a question right, what was the question? 24 fan 4 life (1:19pm 30/March/2010)

They asked what was written on Tony's mug when he was supposedly "killed" during Day 5! Cubby to my rescue! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 22:06, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Logo changeEdit

Hey, I don't know if you've been following my thread in the forum, but I was wondering if you could upload the transparent version of the logo there over the current one, and (if possible) weigh in on the new changes I proposed. Even if you disagree, the logo should still be changed; the corners can be seen even against the black background on almost all of the monitors I've used. Thanks! --Pyramidhead 00:27, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Hey dude, sorry I've been on holiday the last week that's why I haven't been around much. I'll get around to uploading the new logo in the next few days when I get a chance (unless Blue Rook does first). I'll go and respond to the thread now. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 20:39, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

Source of nameEdit

Hey, I got the info on Dana here, from the casting call for 24 season 8. Info on Arlo (original name Jonah Schwartz), Dalia Hassan (Sondra Hashemi), Farhad Hassan (Farhad Hashemi) and Meredith (originally Diane) Reed also included. Cheers! 04:03, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

That's awesome, thanks a lot! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 09:53, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

The PDF in the "12:00pm-1:00pm" mission Edit

(Operation Hero) mistakenly the PDF documenting "4:00pm-5:00pm" and is not a diagram of jurisdiction posts. I even looked into the SWF files themselves. I want to rename and move it but I don't know if I'm allowed. Currently, I've commented it out. moved it to a different section without renaming the file. --Addict 2006 12:18, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Day 3.5 Edit

Where and when will it be available for purchase? -- Batkinson2011

Haha, it's flattering that you think it'd be worth money! To be honest I had totally forgotten about this. I do want to get around to finishing it because it has a really cool ending that explains about some unsolved stuff from Season 2. I'll try and get it done over the summer and let you know when - or if - I ever do! --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 16:10, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Least favourite episodeEdit

What's your least favourite episode of 24? Because it's not on your userpage.--Station7 19:28, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

I don't really know, I've never much thought about it. Because I only started watching when Season 4 was on TV and I caught up with the others afterwards, I am very much stuck with the impression that the first four seasons are incredible, and I don't notice plot holes as well as some. I read an article where it was pointing out some huge flaw with the whole concept of the first season, and I remember wondering why I hadn't notice it before. For the life of me I can't remember what it was.
But anyway to get back to your point, I don't really know off the top of my head. It would probably be the episode where Phillip Bauer kills Graem and you realise he's a bad guy, that was a stupid moment for me. Or anything that involved the retarded "Dana and Kevin Wade" storyline from Day 8. How about you? --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 10:36, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

I'm a little bit late like always with series, but good I don't know, because first of all I'm from the Netherlands. I'm currently watching season 4 (I've watched to season 1 & season 3). But I don't know, but my favourite article is absolutely On-screen kills by Jack Bauer. And I'm currently working on here. You can always help, because I like this :) Jack Bauer, will being later also on the place.--Station7 14:46, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

By the way, it doesn't matter that you reveal spoilers about season 6 and season 8. That's why I'm on 24 Wikia. Also SignorSimon, could you doing a favor for me, because I'm trying to make this page here the same as On-screen kills by Jack Bauer--Station7 14:48, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

If you just copy the table from On screen kills by Jack Bauer and paste it onto your page, then change the information it should be quite easy. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 17:46, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
On which your userpage, I can't find it nowhere, or do you mean my main page on 24 Wikia?--Station7 17:51, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
I don't really understand what you mean. All I said was to copy the table from when you click "Edit" on On screen kills by Jack Bauer, and paste it onto this page and then add in the details from that second page. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 18:29, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks you SignorSimon, it worked as you can see on the page.--Station7 20:15, June 13, 2010 (UTC)

Rank insigniasEdit

I think it's fine to use svg's of each insignia, since most of the time they're plainly visible in the actual episode. For any that are never visible, I'd be okay with leaving them out. --Pyramidhead 20:34, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

Do you not think that would look horribly inconsistent? --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 20:52, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
I only say it because, as far as I can remember, the insignias on the show have been mostly accurate, and I can't think of any that were flat-out wrong or missing, making it a non-issue. If there are any, then omitting them would simply be in keeping with what the show presented. --Pyramidhead 21:13, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
Alright I suppose, but once again you shouldn't be inciting changes without asking everyone, this isn't the first time you've done so. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 23:57, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
I believe we just got done with almost a month's worth of discussion "inciting" this change. The "Rank" field was always in the template, I just thought this might act as a good visual aide. --Pyramidhead 01:38, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
We can't use the rank insignias because those images aren't from the show. The image policy is very clear about this; technically we need to get rid of that US flag image on the template too. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 02:10, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
Then I'd say the image policy needs to be revised. I haven't added the copyright info yet, but these are user-made SVG images released into the public domain and suitable for use in any setting. No copyright laws are being violated. --Pyramidhead 02:24, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
You've brought up only 1 of at least 2 aspects of the image policy that are at work here, and both are critical. Let's say we somehow do revise the policy to permit any PD images not from the show. Okay... but how do we draw the line on what's appropriate to permit? If you upload these insignias for obscure military characters, I may choose upload four free-use images of generic woman's hair-style, differing only in color (one red for redheads, one black for brunettes, one blonde, and one white for seniors) and I would attach them to every page for a female character. I may also upload analogous images for male characters, including a 5th one of a bald man without hair (Abdul Mahnesh needs a hair icon, too!). Another user may come along and upload images of a person walking and another of a chalk outline for living and deceased characters respectively, and maybe a question mark for unknowns. Simon may go about tagging every image on the wiki with a serious of copyright-free images which vary depending upon the subjective quality of each image. ... The madness would never end. It would be simply impossible to establish precedent and it would be a colossal waste of time to look at each proposal on a case-by-case basis. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 03:18, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
First, I'm semi-working on an overhaul of the military pages - the rank symbols were mainly intended for that, but seemed like a good use in the sidebar as well. Secondly: There's a clear difference between the pictures we're discussing and your examples. Everything I've uploaded is a superior, easier-to-manipulate representation of an image from within the television show, which in turn used imagery of flags and insignias that were in the public domain to begin with. If any exception is to be made, it should be to allow SVG's or other "clean" files of real-world images that were seen on screen, limited to flags, official seals, and military insignias. That would prevent the same standard being applied to OOU pictures of guns, for example. I don't think that's too unreasonable, and it's an easy precedent to stick to. --Pyramidhead 03:32, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
Why would it be limited to only the things you specifically want to upload? It won't be fair and other users will see it and cite it as precedent for all number of things, all with an equally convincing argument as to why it should be an exception. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 05:35, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
Because the things I want to upload, as I'm sure anybody would agree, are all more than reasonable to include on the wiki with regard to documenting the world of 24 - they're public domain images based on actual, real-life things seen in the show, but with the advantage of being resizable and not restricted to crappy screenshot quality. The counterexamples you gave would rightly be ridiculed if they were ever seriously considered; I can't imagine a situation arising where somebody was uploading that many non-related images for a project that everyone agreed on. I have to say this new image policy, which seems to have come out of nowhere, is needlessly restrictive. Memory Alpha, the wiki we seem to be most closely based on, has none of the problems you've described. Half the pictures on here don't adhere to it, anyway - what's up with the Great Seal of the United States? --Pyramidhead 17:59, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
See here for Proudhug's take on this.
When you say "anybody would agree", you have to count me and Proudhug out. When you say "this new image policy", you're wrong, this 24-only image policy for Main namespace content was officially incorporated on 2008 September 25. Finally, when you say "Half the pictures on here don't adhere to it, anyway", the only other image that comes to mind is the single one you mentioned. That US flag needs to go, as I believe I mentioned somewhere else anyway. It just slipped through the cracks. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 18:15, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Color me suprised, cause it's news to me - pretty much every picture on these pages is in violation. As are the season icons I made. --Pyramidhead 18:29, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
But Pyramidhead surely you've noticed the policy that's been put in place over a year ago to get rid of actor images not from the show that is slowly being enforced. While yes, all the images haven't been removed as they should, whenever someone uploads a new one it is deleted. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 19:54, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
I just want to clarify that I'm not totally against this idea. My beef is with Pyramidhead's habit of proceeding with major violations of precedent and policy before a consensus has been reached. To be honest, if everyone else were to agree, I don't really have much of a problem with including these types of images, provide they're visible on-screen at some point. Files like the CTU logo aren't directly from the show but are very helpful for templates and such. Memory Alpha does use non-screenshot images of rank insignia and things. --proudhug 22:14, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry to monopolize your talk page, Simon (lol), but I agree. I think it comes down to common sense when judging whether a file that's outside the image policy's guidelines is fit for use. "Clean" images like logos and flags are so much easier to deal with organizationally and visually that it would be a mistake not to use them where possible. --Pyramidhead 01:59, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Don't worry - it just means I get notified when the discussion is updated! In any case, certain things don't bother me, such as the US Seal, and the CTU logo. I just don't see how those rank insignias contribute that much to articles. That being said, I don't mind that much if they are included. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 09:13, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Military rank is utterly insignificant to the show. A few soldiers, marines, officers, etc. have appeared and had minor roles, but that's it. A few titles were spoken occasionally, like Colonel, Sergeant, General, etc., but no distinctions were made on the different grades of general and sergeant... there is a high possibility that this will be oou information, especially given specific titles that some of these insignia represent, so before we include it I have to insist that a Sandbox page is created first. I don't want to get into the details because it would be a massive string of "if/then" statements so it's best to evaluate an experiment first. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 18:23, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
I agree that the specific example of rank insignia doesn't warrant inclusion. As far as I know, there's little to no IU explanation as to what the insignia mean and how they're used. However if someone were to do some massive research and determine that an IU correlation between certain rank and insignia was established on the show, I'd be willing to listen to their case. I just don't think the information is there. --proudhug 18:52, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Haha, I just noticed a reference in Operation Hell Gate to a Marine Corps Captain having two silver bars (p33). Perhaps there is enough EU information to include rank insignia... --proudhug 00:47, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Hey thereEdit

Hey there SignorSimon, I did edit the page from George Mason, because 2 times the date of his death was seen on his page.--Station7 20:43, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Why did you delete the main cast template from every single page? --Pyramidhead 21:20, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

We had a conversation about it on the talk page, there was no contest to not delete it, and so I went ahead and got rid. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 21:24, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Paul Raines - On-screen kills by Jack Bauer photoEdit

I have found a picture from Paul Raines for the page: On-screen kills by Jack Bauer, however I can't open it. I will put a link to your talk page: This is the link.--Station7 17:55, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

It's not really a very good quality picture though. It would be better to show one of higher quality, and where it is more obvious what is happening. Also, to upload the picture you save the file to your computer, then click the "upload an image" button the left, and find the file on your computer. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 18:45, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

On Google, Yahoo and Bing I already looked? Where should I look further?--Station7 19:57, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

If you don't personally have a programme to take screen captures from the show then you shouldn't worry about trying to add images to articles. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 20:12, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

Sig Sauer Edit

I've been trying to edit the Sig Sauer P228 page to correct some inaccuracies, but you keep putting the inaccuracies back!

The maximum capacity of the P228 'with a bullet in the chamber' is FOURTEEN rounds (thirteen in the magazine plus the one in the chamber, commonly written as 13+1 in handgun parlance). The maximum capacity of the P228 would only be thirteen rounds WITHOUT a bullet in the chamber, since the standard P228 magazine holds a maximum of thirteen rounds.

WITH a bullet in the chamber (which is what's stated on the P228 page), the maximum capacity is definitely FOURTEEN rounds, since a full 13-round magazine can be loaded AFTER the chamber has been loaded with round number 1.

I appreciate and respect the pride you take in these pages, but please try to avoid making inaccurate 'corrections' to other people's edits - you're putting back information that's just plain wrong! I happen to own a Sig Sauer P228, and I promise you that the maximum capacity 'with a bullet in the chamber' is definitely fourteen!

Cheers, Rob.

P.S. It was me who initially pointed out some time ago that the P229 was sometimes substituted for Jack's P228 in Days 1 and 2. However, it did NOT have a different trigger 'cover' (correctly called a trigger GUARD). The trigger guard on this era of 229 was always identical to the 228. The only visible difference between the two was the half-height grip serrations towards the rear of the 229's slide. The different trigger guard only came later with the introduction of the 'railframe' models. There are a couple of other minor inaccuracies on the Sig P228 page, but whenever I correct them, you keep putting the wrong information back!

The problem is, the information you are adding does not come from within the universe of the show. However, the information that is already there is from the show. This Wiki has a policy in which we only include iu information; that is, stuff that is heard/seen on 24. The things you're adding don't meet this standards. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 20:20, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Blue RookEdit

First of all my message is post at 0:02/0:05, because I'm Dutch. Good now the serious news. What is Pyrimadhead doing? Why is Blue Rook leaving? Could you explain to me, I like to know it. Blue Rook is awesome.--Station7 22:04, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

I'm Simon, and have been a big fan of 24 since 2004 when I saw Season 4 (about episode 3/4 - Sky One was having a marathon!). I usually go by the internet name of "RetiredZimon", so if you see that anywhere, it's me.

I am a UK viewer of 24. I live in South Yorkshire, England. My biggest claim to 24 fame is meeting Carlos Bernard at the Season 7 Region 2 DVD release party at HMV on Oxford Street, London, on 19 October 2009. What's more, three copies of the Season 1-7 boxset were available to be won upon answering a tough question about the show. Naturally I put my hand up and came home with the 48-disc set, signed by Tony Almeida himself! I also got a photograph with the man.

On top of that, I also got an interview with Louis Lombardi, who played Edgar Stiles during Day 4 and 5 of the show.

As of July 16th 2008, I am an administrator on this Wiki. If you have any issues I am online at least once every day - feel free to leave a message on my talk page.

No, this is not a comment about your page is. lol. This is a question. So you have interivewd the actor who played Edgar Stiles? --Station7 19:22, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

I indeed have, that's why I wrote that. --SignorSimon (talk/contribs/email) 19:30, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

Wow, that's awesome. That means that you're 2 degrees away from Kiefer Sutherland :) --Station7 20:45, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

Table changesEdit

I'm not sure if you've been reading this thread, but it seems to be mostly agreed on. Feel free to weigh in; Blue Rook said you or Proudhug should be the one to make the change. The new version of Monaco.css is here. --Pyramidhead 03:04, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
