Vaibhav was an ATU agent during Day 2.

After the drug dealer Prakash was arrested, Vaibhav brought him back to the ATU and took him to an interrogation room. There he tried to extract information from Prakash with another agent, but was not successful. Shibani Mallick entered at around 12:55pm, and showed him photos of potential suspects, including Chang. When Prakash still did not co-operate, she broke one of his fingers and threatened to break another. Vaibhav was shocked by this, but Prakash admitted to being asked by Chang to supply cocaine to Kush Sawant as well as injecting Kush with a vial given to him by Chang. Vaibhav then took Prakash to the police station on Mallick's orders. ("12:00pm-1:00pm")

Later, when Dhruv Awasthi escaped from ATU custody, Vaibhav and other agents cornered him in the parking garage. Veer Singh Rathod shot him, and Vaibhav secured him with some other agents. ("12:00am-1:00am")
