The Valentine's Day bombing
The Valentine's Day bombing was an attack that took place prior to Day 2. It was a bomb blast on the West Bank organized by Mamud Rasheed Faheen which resulted in 13 fatalities and 26 injured.
While its primary purpose was as a terror attack, it was also used to create impression that Faheen was dead. On Day 2, Eric Rayburn discovered that Faheen was still alive through surveillance photographs of the terrorist at a small airport outside Lyons, France with a man named Jason Park. Park was captured and interrogated and admitted that Faheen had been planning the attack on the U.S. that was to take place on Day 2 for over two years.
