Victor Rivers (born October 1, 1955; age 68) portrayed Sgt. Bob Amis in Season 2 of 24.


Rivers was born in Cuba as Victor Rivas. He immigrated to the US when he was 2 years old. After coming to the US, Rivers studied at Florida State University's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor's degree and is listed as a Distinguished and Notable Alumnus. Rivers was an active NFL player from 1978 to 1979.

After college, Rivers began his acting career in 1984 in the film Fear City. In the following years, he appeared in films like Last Resort (with Chip Johannessen), Cat Chaser (with Peter Weller), Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (with Ray Wise), Blood In, Blood Out (with Raymond Cruz), Fled (with Will Patton), Amistad (with Xander Berkeley and Michael Massee), and Hulk (with Daniel Dae Kim).

Also, through his acting career, he has appeared in five films with fellow 24 actor Tony Plana. These films are Havana, A Million to Juan, One Good Cop, The Lost City, and Nixon. The latter also starred Powers Boothe.

Aside of films, Rivers has also appeared in countless TV shows. His first TV role was on 1985 in Remington Steele. After that, he has had roles in shows like Miami Vice, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (with Alexander Siddig), Soldier of Fortune, Inc. (with Mark Sheppard), JAG (with Gregory Itzin), CSI: Miami (with Rory Cochrane), Numb3rs (with Peter MacNicol), and Law & Order: LA.

From 1999 to 2001, Rivers voiced several characters in the animated show Batman Beyond. One of the episodes in which he appeared also starred Keith Szarabajka. In 2004, he had a recurring guest role in the animated show Justice League lending his voice to Hro Talak. Also, from 2007 to 2008, he had a recurring role in the NBC show Life (with Michael Cudlitz). In 2013, he also had a recurring role in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (with Rena Sofer).
