Victor Rovner was a CIA informant and freelance dealer in arms, drugs and information who did most of his work out of the Czech Republic.

Day 1

Just after midnight on Day 1 (4:00pm Malaysian time), Rovner transmitted a message from Kuala Lumpur to CTU Los Angeles, informing them that a professional assassin was on his way to Los Angeles to kill Senator David Palmer. As he sent the transmission, people began knocking on his door and yelling.

  • Rovner was the first character to appear onscreen on 24.
  • Although unconfirmed officially on-screen, according to 24: The Official Companion: Seasons 1 & 2, Victor Rovner was the first character on 24 to die. In an interview with 24: The Official Magazine, Jeff Ricketts expressed his belief that Rovner is still alive and may return some day.
