Winston Churchill was an historical politician and head of state.

- Winston Churchill is known for his leadership of the United Kingdom during World War II. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. His long political career saw him serve in cabinet positions in both World Wars and switch parties twice; he started as a Conservative, defected to the Liberal Party in 1904 and then defected back in 1924. Also a highly accomplished writer, his six-volume account of World War II saw him win a Nobel Prize for Literature.
