Young was called in as backup along with officer Collins after sergeant Raymond Brown pulled over Miguel and Kim Bauer who were trying to escape from Los Angeles with Megan Matheson, and discovered the body of Carla Matheson in their trunk. Young took Megan into her car as Kim assured a crying and reluctant Megan that she would be okay, and drove Megan back to the station.
