The Zealots were a cult of anti-economists throughout the United States. They held protests against the current system and tried to encourage change. Many members were based in Colorado and lived at the Zealot compound in the foot of the Rocky Mountains. They were led by Abelson Prewitt. They were not known to be violent, and made an effort to dress smart so as to give a good impression to the general public.
Members of the Zealots from Colorado vanished days before the Sky Mount Round Table conference, which led Ryan Chappelle of CTU Los Angeles to suspect they had gone into hiding before planning an attack against the conference. He sent Jack Bauer to liaise with CTU Denver and uncover what had happened.
